Stayed Sep 4, 2023There are not many properties that are better cared for and equipped than this one. We were greeted by a fridge filled with local treats, cake, local honey and olive oil, an impeccably clean and well presented home which was perfect for our stay in Crete. We felt always safe, cared for and did not miss anything from candles, cooler, linens to all sorts of kitchen equipment. The view from the pool across an olive grove over the Mediterranean is unobstructed. It is an easy walk to restaurants and the organized beach, but more importantly an easy drive to Chania, the west or even south coast. Thank you very much for being the perfect hosts and for sharing your lovely property with our family!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969As soon as we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome in an absolutely stunning villa and location. such a free and wild setting with amazing views and fantastic amenities. Offers of home made cake, and gifts on departure just completed the trip to such a warm friendly Greece. we look forward to ou next trip and wish everyone well :)

Stayed Aug 13, 2019The villa is beautiful, spacious and very welcoming. The pool and outdoor area are very well maintained and inviting. After our daily excursions to beaches, Chania, the mountains, etc, it was very nice to have the pool and deck to look forward to in the afternoons. Xara and her husband Harry are wonderful hosts. They welcomed us with home made baked goods and gave us home made olive oil as a departing gift. It was an unexpected surprise to find the fridge so well stocked with ouzo, beer, etc, as well. Prior to and during our visit, Xara quickly, helpfully, and pleasantly responded to all of our queries. She and her husband Harry are extremely pleasant and we very much enjoyed meeting them. They live in a separate house on the property which isn’t all that visible from the villa. Xara’s written English is very good while her husband speaks English fluently. The house is surrounded by pretty olive trees and has a great sea view from the pool and back deck. There are some chickens on site that woke us up quite early the first morning but wearing ear plugs the rest of the time took care of that. There are two bathrooms, one of which has a very large jacuzzi tub. The other bath has a shower that’s a bit of a tight squeeze but manageable. The villa has WiFi though it was spotty in the bedrooms and immediately outside of the villa. The coffee maker gave us a bit of trouble at first; but we managed. (In a perfect world, every rental would come with a Nepresso machine.) The location made for a good base for exploring historic Chania, Balos and Elafonissi beaches, and mountain villages, and was just a few minutes drive to restaurants and stores, while also feeling secluded. Overall, a wonderful experience.
