VILLA BOTÁNICO Manor house with park-like garden and 180° Atlantic views

We said before we arrived at the villa we would be happy if it was 50% as good as the photographs. What we didn’t expect was it was so much bigger, better, and more beautiful than we could possibly imagine. The gardens are absolutely stunning, the house and interior design are just perfect. The attention to detail and quality is exceptional. Everywhere you look offers a feast for the eyes. The pool provides the most amazing view at all times, although particularly spectacular at sunset. The entire property is designed with comfort, relaxation and appreciation of the beautiful surroundings. The house manager Tina was so very helpful, especially when we had a minor road accident and she came with her husband to give us a tow! We loved every moment of staying at this unique property and are planning a return visit next year. No hesitation in recommending HIGHL!

Our brief stay in Villa Botanico turned out to be the hoped-for all-purpose remedy after a challenging winter and spring in central Europe. The villa and the surrounding property are exactly as described -- a paradise for those seeking tranquility and natural beauty, with an extra dose of Moroccan touch. We particularly loved the exquisite and lush garden area, providing several shaded places with small tables and chairs. The extensive pool terrace is equally terrific -- the site of many attempts to capture the daily manifestations of each stunning sunset. The views towards the ocean are completely unobstructed and the immediate environment is very quiet. We wished that we could stay longer!

A tranquil slice of paradise

We had a lovely stay at Villa Botanico. The villa is in a fantastic location with gorgeous views over the Atlantic. The gardens are beautiful and very well presented and there are numerous areas to sit outside. Overall, the property is well secluded in very peaceful surroundings, yet only a few minutes from the centre of Puntagorda where there is a good shop which has all the food and drink we needed. The garden has a lovely pond which attracted dragonflies and there are lots of lizards that bask on the rocks in the afternoon sun. We would love to stay here again, and can thoroughly recommend the property!

We've just had a great stay for two weeks stay at Villa Botanico : the villa itself is really beatifull, large, and very well equiped, and extremely clean. The garden is huge, with many colored flowers, tropical plants, trees and a superb swimming pool, huge, amazing views on the blue blue sea and the moutains back. It's all very quiet, perfect for resting and living in peace in nature, almost in a dream ! The village of Puntagorda is 2 minutes drive with shops and all stuff. From that point you can visit the mountains, the forests, or go down at the beaches (Tazacorte for instance) or anywhere in the Island. We loved that place because of the quality of the villa, the garden, the swimming pool, and the efficiency of the employees (Marion the lady who welcomed us is very friendly, the gardeners who look after the garden every 2 days, the housewifes etc...). We'd really appreciated La Palma Island for the authenticity, no mass tourism, very calm, real people, real life in contryside. We hope to come back soon, meanwhile we have to go back to work ! Yes, the view over the ocean is breathtaking! Yes, the pool terrace is gorgeous! The most impressive feature of this place, however, is that literally everything, until the smallest detail, is beautiful. We have travelled extensively and stayed in many renowned hotels and residences. Never before have we seen a house and garden in which every room and every object and corner were in such uncompromising good taste. We were not particularly lucky with the weather but it did not matter. It was a pleasure to stay at home in this oasis of beauty and style. Bravo to the housekeeper, Carola, as well. Contacting her was easy, and she is as efficient as she is friendly and welcoming. If you enjoy a calm welcoming place that is a feast to the eye, you can blindly book this place.
