Stayed Aug 13, 2025Really beautiful property in a nice quiet location. Nice tavernas in driving distance in local untouristy villages. Very nice sized pool. House was spotlessly clean and has everything you need. Great recommendations from host on what to do in the local area which we just followed for the week were there. Highly recommended.

Stayed Jul 9, 2025We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Ariadne, which was well equipped with everything you might need. Admittedly, the drive to reach the villa is quite hairy but you are rewarded with spectacular views, peace and a cool climate (2-3oC cooler than the coast). The pool was perfect for a dip and the villa sympathetically decorated. We frequently visited Kalyves and enjoyed meals in Vamos. Susanne and Marianna were incredibly responsive to all our queries - they couldn't have been more helpful. A lovely, peaceful and authentic stay in Crete.

Stayed May 11, 2025My wife and I plus our son and his girlfriend stayed for several nights in mid Spring and loved it. Strategic mountain location for Chania and Rethymnon and also close to road over White Mountains to Sfakia. Driving the final stretch from Pemonia to Melidoni is quite hairy so do take care!! Beautifully managed by Susanne and photos fully do the house justice. Marvelous crockery set and great welcome package!

Stayed Sep 25, 2024We loved being away from it all but with adventures nearby.. beaches, hiking, biking, small villages with excellent dining and historical value. An excellent option after hopping from island to island for some downtime .

Stayed Jun 15, 2024Excellent property with extraordinary views of the magical white mountains Extremely clean and very well maintained throughout Beautiful private pool with several sun loungers and umbrellas Well appointed kitchen and BBQ area Air con in bedrooms, comfy beds for a great nights sleep Great communication with host There around surrounding villas but we never heard from them and it feels very private and quiet You need a car to get around, roughly 45min drive to Chania but there are many charming villages and beaches only a 20min drive away
