Stayed May 26, 2026Our family had a wonderful stay at The Captain’s Choice on Daufuskie Island! My wife Kathy, our daughters Carrie and Katy, and even our small dog Coco thoroughly enjoyed our vacation.From the start, Chuck and Terri were exceptional hosts. The Welcome Packet they provided was incredibly helpful and saved us a great deal of time planning our trip. Their communication before and during our stay was thoughtful, responsive, and informative.The villa itself was beautiful, spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. The only thing competing with the beauty of the home was the amazing ocean view! We especially enjoyed relaxing on the screened porch and soaking in the peaceful island atmosphere.We also had excellent experiences with local services. Daufuskie Life handled our transportation from the county dock to the villa, and our driver Scott was friendly and professional. Holly with Explore Daufuskie provided our golf cart rental and delivered outstanding service as well.Everything about our stay exceeded expectations. Chuck and Terri clearly care about providing a first-class guest experience. We made wonderful family memories and would absolutely stay at The Captain’s Choice again. Highly recommended!

Stayed May 10, 2026This was my 3rd time staying at The Captain's Choice. The villa is lovely. It is always clean, cozy and stocked with everything we need! Terri always communicates well. The check-in process is super easy. Daufuskie is such a special place. Cannot recommend the Island and The Captain's Choice enough!

Stayed Apr 13, 2026Great island getaway property! Beautifully appointed decor. 2 bedroom ensuite condo. Each suite had a bath, mini frig, tons of storage. The king suite had a shower and jacuzzi tub. The suites were separated by a large kitchen, dining, living area with expansive views of the water. This layout provides nice privacy. The porch was also fabulous with comfortable furniture and the same spectacular views. Great for a family or 2 couples.

We enjoyed exploring the island and eating at the various restaurants. The hosts were kind very good at communicating through VRBO. Highly recommend.
