Situated in one of the most exclusive areas of Torbay, Woodend Seaside Villa enjoys a commanding position with breathtaking sea views, set within approximately one acre of private gardens, terraces, and decking on the beautiful South Devon coast.

Tucked away yet just moments from Torquay harbour, this impressive villa is a true hidden gem - perfectly suited to family holidays, multi-generational gatherings, and relaxed get-togethers.

From the moment you arrive through the electric gates, you’ll be welcomed by a charming and unique feature - an original 1936 red telephone box set against a stunning sea view backdrop, beautifully lit in the evenings.

As this is my home, you’ll find it exceptionally well equipped for your stay, with everything you should need already in place. If you do require anything additional, assistance is always close by and easily arranged.

Inside, the villa offers generous, thoughtfully designed living spaces ideal for spending time together. The handcrafted kitchen features granite worktops, underfloor heating, a range cooker, and a large breakfast island, fully equipped for family cooking and entertaining. The adjoining reception rooms create over 36 feet of flexible living space, opening directly onto sea-facing terraces - perfect for long lunches, evening drinks, and relaxed gatherings.

The villa comfortably accommodates larger groups with six spacious bedrooms (five en-suite), including several with sea views. There are multiple bath and shower rooms, ensuring both comfort and convenience for all guests.

Outside, the property truly comes into its own. The heated infinity swimming pool (maintained at 29°C year-round) overlooks the coastline, complemented by a hot tub and covered outdoor bar area - creating a wonderful space for families to relax together both day and evening. The extensive gardens include terraces lined with fruit trees, a large lawn for games, and even a private pathway leading down to Meadfoot Beach.

The villa itself is private and self-contained, with guests having exclusive use of the main house, pool, and principal gardens. The wider grounds do include two separate cottages and a self-contained flat. The occupants are long-term, trusted friends who are very respectful of guests’ privacy. They may occasionally use parts of the driveway and a small section of the entrance garden, but the main living areas, pool, and terraces are entirely for your use and feel very private. If I’m not around, they are always happy to assist if needed, and one also acts as housekeeper should anything arise during your stay.

Torquay, part of the renowned “English Riviera,” offers a warm microclimate, beautiful beaches, waterside restaurants, and scenic coastal walks. The harbour, marina, and town centre are all within easy reach, making Woodend an ideal base to explore the very best of South Devon.

A Note on the Style of Stay

Woodend is a much-loved family home and is best suited to guests seeking a high-quality, relaxed coastal stay. It is not a party house, and due to its residential setting, we kindly ask guests to be mindful of noise, particularly outdoors and around the pool, especially in the evenings.

Guests are personally welcomed on arrival and shown around the property to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay. Where possible, flexible check-in and check-out times can be arranged.

I limit the letting of the villa as it is my family home, so availability can be restricted - early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. Please feel free to message with any questions or availability; even if your preferred dates appear unavailable, we may sometimes be able to offer flexibility.

For added security and peace of mind, CCTV operates in external and selected communal areas.
