Being from Alberta Canada, our family would normally not find ourselves anywhere near St Augustine but my daughter was being treated with proton radiation nearby in Jacksonville for her stage four cancer diagnosis. We knew we wanted a few nights away from the Ronald McDonald House to make it feel more like a vacation and this property was exactly that and more. From the cleanliness to professionalism and simplicity in the decor, it was the perfect little getaway. It is a couple blocks from the beautiful white sandy beach, and plenty of good restaurants nearby. My wife enjoyed the short 10 minute walk to the coffee shop, Kookaburra as well as island donuts. The girls were happy to know that three ice cream shops were within walking distance - a hit with the kids! Most of all we will forever be grateful for the kindness Megan showed our family with her understanding and flexibility. If we didn’t live so far away, this would be an annual vacation spot!
