Stayed Jul 20, 2019We just returned from a fantastic week and our first visit to Corsica and we were really impressed. The villa was clean, well equipped and well proportioned, with plenty of space and privacy. The view of the sun setting over the sea from the veranda is stunning. It is very near (5 min walk down the hill, a bit longer back up!) what was for us, at least, probably the best beach we’ve been to. Clean, not crowded, sand with some big rocks making it great for snorkelling but also lovely for younger kids to paddle/swim. There is no life guard but there is are two cordoned swim areas a place to hire paddle boards and canoes. You do need to drive a bit further for supermarkets but the cabin near the beach sells basics, local specialties and you can pre-order a roast chicken. It is also a bit of a drive to historical sites/tourist spots etc., but this is also why the location is so tranquil and unspoilt. The owner was helpful and easy to contact when we needed something. One thing to be aware of, if you have small children, is the garden isn’t fully fenced , but there is plenty of space and shade. To sum up, if you are looking for a beautiful, tranquil location, with a gorgeous beach on your doorstep, then I would recommend this villa.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is a clean newly-built house designed for relaxing and enjoying the beauty of Corsica. The house is large and well equipped, the kitchen is terrific, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. The house is surrounded by a beautiful garden, with views out to the Mediterranean and the sunset. Jean-Hugues was an excellent host who helped us to move in and pointed us toward a store where we could buy food on a Sunday afternoon. This is an ideal spot for a restful and relaxing holiday.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Jean-Hugues, a charming and friendly local, together with his wife, have done a magnificent job in creating a wonderful holiday space perched (as if alone) on a hill overlooking the Portigliolo bay. You can walk to the beach and return to be sat on the terrace, drinking a glass of Cap Corse watching the sun set into the sea. Aesthetiquement et spirituellement excellent.
