Stayed Jul 25, 2025Great service from booking through to our 2 weeks - excellent to have the villa cleaned and new bedding and bath towels provided twice during our stay - pool cleaned and rubbish taken away regularly. We had an issue with the dishwasher on our first evening- by the next day we had been given a temporary one and a new one was installed a day later. The villa its self has the most amazing views through out the day - you can spend many hours relaxing around the pool. Lovely taverna within walking distance - beach with beach bar 15 min walk. Kalives has all you need to dine in or dine out. Once you have found the turning off the road to the villa your fine - first time can be a bit tricky but directions given are useful. We had an excellent 2 weeks and loved exploring a new area

Stayed Jul 10, 2025Overall, the property is very nice. Here are the pro’s and con’s.Pro’s1) nice home, well kept2) top notch location, amazing view, superb sunsets3) easy access4) quick service on any concerns5) pool is quite nice6) easy ( steep ) trail to the ocean with nice swimming and snorkelingCon’s( We had a group of 10 - 8 adults, 2 teens )1) main living area is not air conditioned, in 38c weather, it was hot. Good ventilating but no respite from heat. 2) lower bedroom is not air conditioned and gets afternoon and evening sun. It is an oven and very uncomfortable.3) Twin beds upstairs are so uncomfortable the teens slept in the living area on couches.4) kitchen is equipped okay but really meant for maybe four people. Dishwasher so small, that we ran it after every meal. And do not expect anything other than dishes, pots, pans. Not even a salt shaker to be found. Bring everything you need to cook. This vrbo is operated thru Agni Travel, they were friendly and helpful and quick to respond. Only downside is we tried to pay using a credit card and they wanted 5% penalty for that ( 400 eu penalty) so use a wire transfer instead.

Stayed Sep 27, 2024This property was absolutely gorgeous! The pool was perfect temperature for swimming in late September and there is a great little local restaurant nearby (Kalami Parking) that we went to several times. There are not a lot of extras here so we did have to make a supermarket run for extra trash bags, sugar for coffee, toilet paper, etc. Also to note the turn off for the poperty js not well marked and looks kind of scary like youre driving off a cliff (dont worry youre not!) So I'd suggest google mapping before you arrive to get an idea of what it looks like.

Stayed Jul 1, 2024My family and I had an absolutely wonderful time at this home. The pictures do not do the property justice as it is the most beautiful view off the back deck and pool area. Our tweens/teens had a great time and enjoyed the pool, while the adults loved the many gathering places to talk and engage with one another. The location was a short drive from Chania, while being close to a supermarket and several restaurants for those that did not want to drive into the larger city for dinner. Overall, we loved the house and hope to stay there again in the future!

Stayed Aug 13, 2023The location of this property is breathtaking. We spent a lot of time floating in the sea right below the house. The beach is small, but the water is perfect. There were even tiny, wild blackberries on the trail that runs between the house and the beach. The owner kindly brought us extra towels and wonderful tomatoes. My only note is that the beds are quite firm. I prefer a slightly softer mattress.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a really beautiful stay at Souda Bay View villa. Its a stunning holiday home. There are amazing sights and sounds of the sea throughout the property. The panoramic views across the bay are to die for. We stayed there in early April and so there was a cool breeze but I can imagine that in the summer months the sea breeze would be a life saver. This villa has multiple outdoor amenities; the beautiful pool area; the terrace off the living room ideal for sundowners; the barbecue / breakfast area that catches the morning sun complete with giant-sized chess board; and finally the pretty much private beach area which, although admittedly accessed by a steep and slightly precarious track, became part of our daily routine. The water is crystal clear and a comfortable 16C for swimming in April. The sleeping accommodation was just as described by Agni Travel. The beds were comfortable. The whole villa, both inside and outside, was impeccably clean on our arrival. We were greeted by our host Stratos the morning after our overnight arrival. Stratos gave us a very warm, Greek welcome. It makes such a difference when your host makes time to chat and to ensure that you feel completely at home. Stratos is a real gent! Theres plenty to see nearby. The archaeological sites at Aptera are mind boggling in terms of the history they present to you almost at your doorstep. They are so accessible and almost understated; a definite must-see. Make sure to visit The Aptera Tavern, less than 10 minutes drive away which serves fantastic Greek food, looking onto snow capped mountains to the south (at least in April!). Chania, to the northwest, is about a 20 minutes drive and is a busy seaside town with some really nice restaurants. Its great for an evening trip. We dined twice at a family-owned restaurant called Steki located on a beautiful little side street near the town centre (really amazing Greek food). All in all, our holiday was a memorable one, made all the more so by our stay at this really special cliff top villa Souda Bay View. Well be back.

Stayed Sep 30, 2021The house and location are great and we enjoyed it very much. The staff who came the next day of our arrival to check was very helpul. I was disapointed by the quality of some equipment, the lack of some items like beach towels, extra garbage sacs, barbecue ustensils. I will suggest that a manager comes at the villa and checks the equipment. A guest book with all the information necessary for staying in the house, tips on restaurants and so on, will be useful to have. I discovered only after 5 days an information sheet posted on a wall in the kitchen)
