Stayed Jun 14, 2025If you are considering renting this house, DO IT! It is perfect in every way! As beautiful as Villa Vista Pacifico looks in the photos, they really don't do it justice. The views are breath-taking in every direction, the pool is perfect, everything was spotlessly clean, the beds are so comfortable - I really wouldn't change a thing about our stay. Yes, the road is unpaved and a little nerve-racking on your first trip up the mountain but, once you experience it the first time, it becomes part of the adventure. Maria and the property management team at Tropical Homes of Costa Rica were so helpful in organizing excursions and were very responsive to our questions throughout our stay. It is a quick drive to Potrero for groceries and great local food. Slightly further to Playa Flamingo for more amazing restaurants and shops. I highly recommend a visit into Tamarindo, particularly for the Moonlight Market on Thursdays. So much to see and do and many options for great food. It was the perfect vacation for our family of 8 and we can't wait to visit again soon!

Stayed May 22, 2025I don’t even know where to begin—this house was absolutely stunning. The view is one of the most breathtaking I’ve ever seen. Sitting in the infinity pool, overlooking the ocean, honestly felt like a dream… I could spend the rest of my life there. The home was spotless, the staff was kind and welcoming, and overall, it was an unforgettable experience.A few things to keep in mind: even though the house is only a mile up the mountain, the drive takes about 20–25 minutes because it’s all gravel. If you’re in an SUV, expect a bit of sliding on the way up. Also, the check-in was a bit tricky since it was hard to locate, and there’s no cell reception once you’re on the mountain. The Wi-Fi is spotty, and if you’re not a nature person—just a heads-up—there are a lot of bugs. But honestly, those little inconveniences were nothing compared to the beauty and peace this property offers. If you’re looking for a place to unwind and make memories with your family, I can’t recommend it enough. I’m already dreaming about going back.

Stayed Mar 13, 2025The home and views were beautiful. Tony (our POC for the home) was very communicative, friendly, and offered his advice and recommendations for things to do and restaurants in the area. The road up the hill to the house is a bit steep and bumpy, but after only 10 minutes, you are in close proximity to amazing beaches, restaurants, groceries, and neighboring towns. After a day of beach and adventures, we enjoyed retreating back up to our own spacious and quiet home before we ventured out again the next day. With two families of five (six kids ages 8-13, four adults), we didn’t use the 5th bedroom that had a separate entrance from the outside (and its own key) given we all preferred to be in the main house together and the kids didn’t want to be separated should they need to walk to our room at night if needed. We also enjoyed the standalone water purifier for filling up water bottles each day.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This house and service was spectacular. The host met us at the bottom of the mountain when we arrived and escorted us up to the house. We planned so many activities through the concierge service and every single one was amazing. They responded on text app after hours and planned last minute additions to our itinerary. The house is new, clean and beautiful. The views are exactly as advertised. The man who keeps the house was fantastic. We had four adults and four children and the house accommodated perfectly. You drove up a very steep mountain to get there but that became part of the fun adventure. We had a chef for a few meals, ordered pizza one night and ate at local restaurants within 20 minutes driving distance. This location is awesome to limit driving distance to adventures. We went on the Congo jungle boat tour and zip line, horseback riding at conchal beach, ATV and jet skis and even took surf lessons in tamarindo. The longest drive was one hour to the jungle.

Stayed Jun 24, 2024What a wonderful stay! All staff members were courteous, attentive, and paid attention to details. The property manager was quick to respond to any questions, and our concierge answered our inquiries, and booked transportation and excursions quickly! The property was beautiful and well maintained. The only negative was the steep, unpaved road that led to the property. We rented a 4x4 which enabled us to travel to town and the beach. I would imagine over time the road may be paved, but at the current time, it's a bit rough. Outside of that, everything was perfect! Our part of 9, ages 16-53 enjoyed it so much, and we would all Even highly recommend.
