Secluded Sunset Villa on Cliff & 180° Ocean Views

This villa is just sublime! Beautiful villa, absolutely gorgeous location, well stocked kitchen, communication with Rui was excellent with very prompt responses. There was nothing at all to dislike. If you like privacy and seclusion, with fantastic views, then this is the villa for you.Short drive (15 mins) to a few supermarkets. Jardim do Mar is a village only a short drive away well worth going to see.Nothing negative to say at all about this villa, location, host, etc. Just superb!

This place is a slice of heaven. Do yourself a favor and stay here. We loved it.

The Villa could have been a 5 star experience. The location is incredible with unbelievable views and the peace and quiet of a country inn. However, as nice as the views and location were, the condition of the furnishings and accoutrements left a lot to be desired. The bed in the main bedroom needs to be replaced immediately. The kitchen was appointed with the bare minimum in terms of utensils and the outdoor furniture around the pool and on the balcony and decks needed replacement. Although the listing indicated that the home had a clothes dryer, it was inoperable and although the housekeeper was notified, no effort was made to fix it. The towels and linens were rough and worn. Rui, the property manager did not return VRBO email messages concerning questions about the Villa, so there were some surprises when we arrived. If not for the incredible location, this would be classified as a mediocre experience at best. It appears that the investors are more concerned with milking all the money out of the property instead of maintaining it to be the stunning place it could be.

We were a little disappointed by the decor and accessories. Everything was old and tired . Broken pool furniture . Old furniture, uncomfortable beds . Basic kitchen utensils . For such a lovely property these things let it down .

On arrival we were very pleased with the quality of the villa, the private and secluded location and the stunning uninterrupted views of the Atlantic. However, we had a few issues over the first few days, which included cockroaches in the kitchen drawers, our bedroom, and bathroom. We reported this, to both the housekeeper and the property manager, expecting a pest control company to arrive. Nothing happened. We also reported that the dishwasher had stopped working after three days, and despite promises to repair it nothing was ever done during the next three and a half weeks of our stay. We also reported that the oven door didn't close properly, and were told to raise the oven temperature. This resulted in the oven control knobs being too hot to touch. The general kitchen equipment was very poor. The lawned garden looked wonderful on arrival, but a month later when we left, the grass was up to 1ft high in places. The gates were fixed open so we could not stop two local stray dogs using the garden as a toilet. As compensation for these problems, we were offered a three night stay at another villa, which was very nice, but we assumed the issues at Villa Miradouro would be dealt with in our absence. This did not happen. Overall, it seems to us that there was a reluctance to spend money to properly deal with the issues, although Maria the housekeeper did her best and was extremely thorough and helpful.

Great villa in a wonderful away from it all location. Communication with the owner was excellent and on site staff very friendly. If you want peace and quiet with fabulous views then this is the place for you.

This property is amazing in every aspect. The views were superb at every angle of the house. The accommodations were very comfortable and welcoming.. The rental home and surrounding property was meticulously maintained and Rui was amazing on his efficiency. We loved this so much that we rebooked this house to this April and can’t wait to return to paradise.

Situated near to one of Madeiras famous Lookouts. Great location with marvelous views right out of your Bedroom, or from the Pool or the Kitchen. A really great Spot. Only some downturns have to be mentioned. The Kitchen Equipment is quit old and worn out. The House is situated down a steep slope. The owner doesn´t allow you to drive down. You have to carry your luggage up and down the slope. Same with your shoppings. You are not allowed to close the gate at the propertys entry which is allowing curious people from the nearby lookout to venture down to the House or to the pool ( happened twice to us ) In summary : a really great villa with only some downturns !!!!

Beautiful property on the edge of the earth. The sunsets are amazing from the balcony, dinner table, pool, and anywhere else on the property. The pictures in the listing do not do justice for the beauty and privacy of the house. Five out of five stars, easily.

We have been to quite a lot houses in different parts of Madeira, but this beats them all. Beautiful garden, pool, fantastic ocean view and ... silence! Communication with Rui was superb, and Maria does a fantastic job keeping the place in shape! Thanks so much! We will come back!
