Stayed Feb 12, 2022Of 40 plus rentals this is by far the worst and the only one I have given an entirely negative review. Where to start – well as (almost) every window and door has metal bars on the outside you feel like you are in a prison The other all over impression is that the place is not so much “tired” as utterly exhausted. Our rental got off to a bad start, the greeter was 30 minutes late and not exactly forthright on the phone when we called. When we got in he spent as little time as possible showing us around, demonstrated he couldn’t work the TV and quickly explained the workings of the alarm. In the short time possible we pointed out that the fans couldn’t be operated in the lounge or main bedroom. We later discovered that the coffee machine leaked, there were no flat knives, the safe was inoperable and the iron bars between the kitchen and terrace was padlocked with no way to unlock. On day 2 we ran out of gas for the cooker. It was replaced quickly, by swapping over the supply from the BBQ which itself never replaced, perhaps he realised that the BBQ was so disgusting looking nobody would want to use it. A few other comments: The high-speed internet operates at -2-3mbps. By comparison my UK broadband is 60mbps. The toaster is so grotty we are reluctant to use it, it looks like only one side working. There is no stereo. The TV is anything but smart. There are no dishes or utensils for children, the pool not enclosed so not suitable anyway No cushions for the plastic poolside loungers or chairs. The poolside table was clear plastic but has been now ben badly painted white rather than being replaced. The “charming garden” is on a 35% angle and a few patches of long grass with various disused gas bottles and other rubbish laying around on it. Toilet roll means half a roll left in each loo. Last, but not least, the water pressure is on the verge of acceptability, at the 3 litres/minute flow you can get it means filling a kettle takes ages and you shower is a dribble of water.

Stayed Jan 25, 2022Host was attentive responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Bedrooms were mirror images with full bathrooms, with a/c units in each.. Hilltop situated so with all doors open there was always a cross breeze keeping the main living areas fresh and cool. Breakfast patio southern faced for excellent breakfast/coffee space. Back pool/deck great for relaxing evening after beach days before dinner. Highly recommended…. We will rent again!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is our fifth visit to this beautiful Island of Antigua, and by far the best because of the incredible villa. My wife and I stayed here for a week, and overall we really loved and once again enjoyed villa life over staying at a hotel. We have stayed at all the major resorts on previous trips to the island. ?The villa: two air-conditioned bedrooms (main suite with Queen Bed and large luxury private bathroom, the other room has a King bed and a bathroom). Both bedrooms offer privacy and there is a library/office/internet area. The villa has a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, however you need to provide your own food if you don’t request a maid/cook. The living and dinning room open onto a spacious porch with a sitting/dining area where you’ll observe the most incredible view you’ll ever see. The villa also includes laundry area, beach chairs, BBQ etc. The pool is perfection, just what we needed to start our day off. The villa would be great for honeymooners, families (mom/dad, kids, &/or Grandparents , and even a Nanny), single traveler, or one or two couples. We had the property manager shop, prior to our arrival and stock the villa for breakfast items etc. The supermarket is a 3 minute drive away, and it has a large selection of food, wine, and liquor etc. but there is also a smaller place up the street from the villa. Fresh fruit was waiting for us & always available, we blended some great drinks and relaxed on the porch. All in all, the best and most refreshing vacation you could ever ask for.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We spent one week in May in the Dickenson Bay area with some friends at Bellevue 2 - we stayed in a 3 bedroom villa (ensuite bathrooms in each bedroom) with a private swimming pool and very good self-catering facilities at an incredible value for money. Our villa was only about 20 minute walk from the sea and within a few minutes drive from Dickenson Bay Beach, which is the beach with the most activities in Antigua. Bellevue 2 is set right near the beautiful areas which made it brilliant for hiking. We went on 3 different walks while we were out there and the views were amazing. We rented a car and visited some of the surrounding beaches and villages like half moon bay. A couple of nights we just went walked to the harbour area and ate fresh fish and drank wine next to the sea. It might sound cheesy but it really was a magical holiday. Recommend it to anyone.
