Incredible views and great open concept accommodations with plenty of room. Hosts were excellent helping us to line up excursions and providing us with details on the area as to what to do. Pre booking excursions prior to arrival is not necessary but some planning after you arrive is. The walk down from the Villa is pleasant but the walk back up is not and taxis are recommended. Late night taxis should be pre arranged. Smalley provided us with all of our transportation needs. Canadian. A car would have made things convenient but driving for us would have caused undue stress as roads are narrow, windy and driving on the left side takes some getting used to. We did have an issue with dogs barking in the wee hours of the night as two of the neighbors had 7 dogs between them that felt it necessary to chase the full moon away. We had earplugs which helped greatly. Noise from other guests was not an issue, nor was the absence or air conditioning as there was enough of a breeze to make things comfortable. Picking fresh grapefruit and limes from trees at the villa was an unexpected surprise. All in all it was a very good vacation stay and only a bite of the fresh lime could take the smiles off of our face.

The villa was absolutely amazing. We had the best time, especially waking up in the morning and being able to look out at Marigot Bay. I would caution for anyone who hasn’t been here before that the driving is a little tougher than I was expecting. The roads are pretty rough in some areas and you’re often driving on the side of a cliff on a very narrow road with people and animals on either side. If you’re going to drive I would highly recommend an SUV. I’m honestly not sure if a sedan would even be able to make it up to the villa. Aside from the driving though the island is pretty picturesque and it’s a pretty amazing view no matter where you are. Pasquale and Nick (the owners) were awesome as well as Bounty (their dog)! He may look a little scary but he was very friendly and loves people. Overall I would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking to travel to St. Lucia!

Lovely spot overlooking Marigot Bay. Exterior nicer than interior. Treacherous road to get in and out from town. Not a lot of privacy - there are at least two other rental apartments at the site. Kitchen, as always, could be better equipped. It's something we look for, but not everyone cares I guess. Host was pleasant, though her husband never spoke to us until he needed to ask when we were leaving - kind of strange welcome. Very nice pool and views. Barking dogs at 5pm!!

March 2019. We had a family holiday at the villa and found the owners and staff very pleasant and helpful, they organized a taxi for us to see the England vs WI in Gros inlet. The villa was spacious for our family of five adults, comfortable and well equipped, the pool was deep and large, just what you need after a day exploring. The location for us was great, it is around half way up the island from the airport, so access to Soufriere and Rodney Bay Area was equal travel time. We had a hire car for our entire stay and this is essential if you want to see all the island has to offer. Marigot bay (10/15 minute walk from villa although a little steep at times) has several restaurants to choose from, we liked JJ’s, good value for money. Our favorite beach was Anse Mamin (Soufriere area), for this you take the road to Anse Chasenet, once parked take the short road to the main beach and then go right (it says no access, ignore this) on the access road, you will then see the signs for the Mamin beach, follow these for 10 minutes. The snorkelling here was great, once on the beach access the water on your far left and head towards the pier you passed whilst walking and enjoy the wonderful coral and sea life.

Beautiful and very comfortable home. A bit remote from town. A vehicle is a must for seniors. The owner and staff were very helpful and made a very positive difference to our vacation.

We made our trek with 4 couples each with 2 children, ages 3 (×2), 5 (×2) and our oldest being 13 (8 adults 8 children). We rented 4 suvs (recommend the suv) as the terrain is unbelievably mountainous, travel was normal for island driving but any road signs or destination signs are minimal. Now I must inform you on how wonderful the grounds keeper/chef/tour guide and your general get you whatever you desire on site manager was!! Carlos lives on the grounds (which are marvelous) and made our trip unforgettable, he cooked us some local meals, fish we caught and introduced us to various great places to eat locally. If you intend on touring around the island (crazy if you don't) Carlos is there to help make arrangements for literally anything! He knows everyone! This location was a perfect fit for our group each family had their own space (lots of it) there is lots of kitchen space, sleeping space and the pool atmosphere was perfect, all with the beautiful view of marigot bay!! When we arrived at the airport we were greeted by our guide who lead us to villa makabu after making various stops to address all of our needs. This is a must if you want the True St.lucian experience! The Reids, Taylors,Ducies and Palmateers

The Villa was clean and had everything one would expect. The villa is well taken care of and is very modern in the inside. It was nice to have us picked up at the airport and taken to villa until our rental car was dropped off the following day. We were taken to the grocery store prior to arriving at the villa which was nice. We stayed in the upper unit and views were spectacular. It was nice to come back at the end of the day and take a dip in the pool. The wrap around balcony was huge and was nice to sit in the morning or evening and enjoy the view. The villa is all open air and has no air conditioning. There are ceiling fans which helped kept the house cool, however at night it still was kind of warm. Carlos the caretaker was very helpful in providing directions and telling us what things we could do. Carlos even made us fish cakes one night. He took us down to Marigot Bay the 2nd day to give us a brief tour. There are nice restaurants right in Marigot Bay. Rain Forest Restaurant is a great place to go for special occasions. Other nice restaurant were Private Bay and Doolittle's. For all these restaurants you take a small boat to cross the bay. There is plenty to do on the island. You definitely need a rental car. The Villa is up a winding road where many portions are very rocky. We drove down to Soufriere for the day. The roads are very winding and the drive was not the most relaxing. We ended up taking a boat down to Soufriere which was a better option and pretty. You can really see the coast line from the boat. St. Luica is a beautiful island and staying in the Villa made our trip special. The owner was great at responding to emails if you had questions and was always responsive.

Wow, wow, wow. This villa is amazing, the pictures and all the amazing reviews are completely accurate. There is nothing to be desired! The pool, view, accommodations, furnishings and surroundings are beautiful and well cared for. The villa is equipped with everything, really everything that you may need. From the fully stocked kitchen, to hammock to pool floaties, to wifi to charcoal bbq, to cleaning service, to binoculars to outlets for Canada and us devices, to local cell phone. It has it all! The entire booking process, information and support from all the staff was well beyond our expectations. Everyone went out of their way to ensure that everything was seamless and we were well taken care of. Carlos really is the man! He was so kind and helpful and went out of his way to ensure we got to see and do everything we wanted to do. He was also really fun to spend time with! All in all, if you are thinking about booking this place, DO NOT HESITATE! A couple of Tips: You should rent a car, it will be hard to get around without one. You don't really need US currency, you could just bring EC, it would actually be easier IMO.

This Villa has spectacular views of Marigot Bay. The decks were amazing and provided all the tranquility a person could ask for. The home is well furnished and the staff Carlos and Miranda are exceptional. They not only cater to your needs but they also teach you about their culture and heritage. The road up the hill is a bit rugged, but the peacefulness and seclusion is priceless. It can be a little loud if others rent out the other unit during your stay as the villa is open air. We look forward to renting it out again with a much larger group next time.
