pool, 100 m from the beach, sea, relaxation and standing facing Diamond Rock

We had a wonderful stay with our family. Very nice villa - extremely well equipped, fantastic ocean view. We loved as well the fridge with the freezer to have ice cubes all the time:) Thanks a lot to Maly who was always there for us.

This is everything we could have asked for, and more. Spacious, well appointed, totally and completely comfortable. Pool is amazing, the outdoor shower, outdoor Lanai, a beautiful kitchen, it goes on and on! The bed is very comfortable, linens and towels feel like home, not a rental. Beautiful garden, surrounded by flowering shrubs and numerous species of birds. A little bullfinch couple will greet you the moment you bring food to the table. I would caution against feeding them, however, they are already a little too familiar! But the view! It is absolutely stunning! And our hosts are wonderful. This is a perfect place to experience the beauty of Martinique, the hospitality of the locals, and their wonderful adoption of French cuisine. Caveats; as others have mentioned, the driveway is precipitously steep. I actually measured 26°, (sorry, it's the engineer in me) that's over a 50% grade! If you are not comfortable with steep slopes, be prepared to walk up the hill. Yes, there are mosquitoes. If you are particularly sensitive to them, be prepared. They're much smaller, and I would say much sneakier than Canadian mosquitoes! That said, there is a lovely mosquito net on the bed which makes for a comfortable sleep. Just be sure you know how to close it properly! Privacy is good, more than sufficient, but not 100%, just in case that matters. Overall, however, I don't think I could imagine a better place to stay here, certainly not at this rate. I would absolutely return!

This home was fantastic! The layout of the home felt very spacious, the pool was private from neighbors, and it was a short walk or drive to the beach and restaurants. The kitchen was well stocked, and the bedroom A/C made for a comfortable night's sleep. My husband says this was his all-time favorite rental home. I highly recommend this rental home.

It was a most enjoyable property to stay at, from our encounter with the owner and her bubbly and kind personality, which could be felt throughout the house. It was open and airy with pleasant breezes all day long and had a nice outdoor sitting area with a very clean pool. A place you certainly could relax in and drift away. It was really difficult to leave when our holiday ended I am sure we will be back. Thank you Maly for giving us the opportunity to stay in your little Turquoise Villa, it was splendid.

We loved everything about the place. It is even better and bigger than appears in the pictures. Maly is a great host. She met us at the house with the welcome drinks, explained everything and gave us a lot of great advises on how to see the best of the area. These were especially valuable to us as we speak very little French. Overall this was a great stay for us.

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Maly's beautiful home! This home is a very short walk to the best beach on the island, has a gorgeous view of the diamond rock, a spacious open layout with lots of indoor and outdoor nooks for sun/shade relaxation, and offers plenty of privacy in a quiet residential neighborhood. The amazing self-cleaning saltwater pool at the perfect temperature was probably our favorite feature of the home. We just went from breakfast table to the pool to the sun lounger to the pool to the hammock to the pool - you get the idea! With air-conditioned bedrooms, an outdoor shower, a well-equipped modern kitchen, a washing machine, games, books, great Wifi, a TV, beach mats and snorkeling equipment, this home has everything to make a perfect vacation. The location is great, too - a half hour from the airport, set centrally between the other popular beach areas of Martinique (Anses D'Arlet in one direction and Saint Anne/Salines/Cap Chevalier in the other direction.) While the drive to Diamant town is only a few minutes away, I loved walking the shaded woodsy footpath along the length of the beach to town (about 15 minutes walking) to pick up fresh baguettes and croissants at the bakery and to stop by the beachfront market for fresh fruits and vegetables and other local products. A short walk (or a one-minute drive) along the beach in the other direction brings you to Anse Caffard, a smaller On our arrival evening, we were a bit late arriving to the home, but Maly (the owner) was so kind to provide us with dinner (wow!!) and rum punch and a wonderful introduction the house and the area. This home and Maly are top-notch! We hope to return next year!!

This was our first visit to Martinique. Maly met us personally, providing a thorough orientation, as well as a light supper after our long day of travel — which we truly appreciated. During our stay, Maly and her husband remained easily reached by telephone, coming out promptly to correct a couple of problems we had with the satellite service and alarm system. Villa Turquoise is even nicer than the photos: a lovely, Creole style house, newly renovated and expanded. It is clean, well-furnished, and comfortable, thoughtfully stocked for travelers, with every amenity provided. Living indoors and outdoors at once is an amazing experience! Each morning and night we soaked in the fantastic, ever-changing views; the soft, inviting feel of our own secluded salt water swimming pool; and the tropical breezes that cooled the entire house, while keeping mosquitos at bay. The house itself is wonderfully private, nicely situated up on a hill above Le Diamante beach and Anse Caffard, in an upscale residential neighborhood. (Be aware that the gated driveway is very steep; we chose to park on the street. But the climb up the drive would be difficult for anyone with leg or mobility issues.) The town of Diamante, with its shops, cafes, and restaurants, is just down the road. The beach itself was compromised on some days by the deposits of sargassum that are causing problems for so many Caribbean Islands and the Florida Keys. But we had no problem finding beautiful beaches that were not affected (particularly Les Anses d’Arlet)— so many that we never got to them all! The whole setting was so relaxing, and the many island attractions so inviting, that we found it truly hard to leave Martinique, even after our luxurious two week stay. We will return — and when we do, we hope to stay once more at Villa Turquoise.
