Stayed Jun 11, 2024This was an amazing place to stay. Teresa was great and made the arrival easy. She helped with whatever we needed and was super friendly. We really appreciate Gregor reaching out prior to our arrival with plenty of information on local attractions and transportation. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Italy.

Stayed May 27, 2023We loved our stay here. The house is very quirky and artistic, it was like walking into a carnival but the best thing about the stay were our hosts, Theresa and Bianco the dog who live upstairs. Theresa spent a few evenings with us shouting Italian into her Google translate, punctuated with the odd “Mamma Mia” and Bianco loved snoring in the entrance to the kitchen. They made it feel a very homely and authentic Italian stay after the hustle and bustle of Rome. Thank you Theresa, we hope to be back.

Stayed Oct 7, 2022We really enjoyed that artistic vibe of this cottage. It was well stocked and we had an easy time visiting Rome by train. The cottage was well stocked with information guides we look forward to returning!

Stayed Dec 18, 2020We have been to many many rentals and BnB’s in Italy over the last 10 years but somehow this house had a very strong impact on us. We were supposed to stay 5 days and go back home for Xmas but thanks to a national covid lockdown we ended up staying 2 weeks and even after that, it was hard to go back home. The house is something else, full of colours, funky lights and Arti facts and it really feels you are staying in Bilbo the hobbit house, it is so cosy. The two chimney not only provide heating but contribute to the warm atmosphere of the house. It is amazing how you can be so close to Rome and yet feel you are in the middle of wilderness. The beds are really comfy and it’s the first time we find a kitchen with everything in it (there were more ustensiles than in our own house). The area is really beautiful and hilly with several national parks a stone throw away. But the best thing about this house is the host Teresa who worked so hard to make us feel welcome. My son was unwell for a few days and Teresa cooked a proper country chicken and vegetables broth that got him right back on his feet in no time. We felt like home and without a shadow of a doubt will be back as soon as we can.

Stayed May 26, 2019This house was cosy, comfortable, welcoming, rustic and arty. We had a lovely peaceful few days here with some much needed quality sleep. Gregor is a very responsive host and his Mum Therese was very helpful and kind. We had an endless supply of firewood, soap shampoo and coffee which was very generous. We could hear hoopoes in the woods which was really magical. The house is in an area not typically frequented by tourists so visiting Palombara Sabina is an interesting insight into Italian suburbia. The Castle is nice to visit and there are tratorias and supermarkets nearby. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

Stayed Aug 6, 2017Gregor was an outstanding host. Even before arriving he took care of so many personal problems we had and always in the best way we could've expected. The house was very comfortable and his mother always ready to help. I surely will recommend the staying on gregor's place, was really according to our expectations and even more than that. Thank you Gregor and his mother for taking care of everything, even he arranged a crib for the baby. Outstanding in all his attitude.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Remote and quiet place. A nice stay for a family visiting Lazio. Theresa who lives on the top floor is very helpful, and has pointed us to the good places. She does not speak English but has an iPad for translation in any language. She pointed us to a place to buy local olive oil. Kids have enjoyed the swimming pool and the parents the quietness.
