OceanView Villa & Bungalows, Beachfront Private Villa.

We had an amazing stay here! In no other single place on the island did we have the sea as our backyard, and this was a beautiful experience. We just stayed with 2 people, me and my uncle, and the 2 bedrooms were prepared for us in the main building, which is an incredibly spacious villa. The staff was really accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We loved the cooking of their chef Nackey so much, we actually think her cooking was the highlight in terms of food of our entire Zanzibar tour, and we had her food numerous times. We befriended the 2 friendly dogs on the property and even some cats. The breakfast included was a treat also, the freshest fruit you will ever eat. The house itself is pretty cool due to its clever ceiling construction, and with fans in every bedroom, we didn’t miss airconditioning for a single moment. All in all, it was a peaceful experience. If we ever come back to Pwani Mchangani, we would know where to go. Thanks Lilia and staff!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The villa is very spacious and would easlly accomodate a much larger family than ours. The garden is really large with many beauiful flowering bushes, coconut palms and a large porch where we took our meals. Nearby, there are two small nice restaurants, we also used the offer to have meals prepared for us by the house-keeper. Lilia was very supportive as host...! We do miss the seas and the opportunity to just jump into the water...Rudi, Germany

On site staff was amazing; owner and property manager not so much Owner had stated she was not on site - which we knew, however the basics weren't provided ( we checked in and left for the day; came back at night and still had no towels; toilet paper or soap) The reason for my disappointment is; basic services that I paid for were not met – such as: breakfast was sub par until the last day. Honey is produced in Tanzania and considered a basic breakfast compliment; when we asked for; we were told honey is Not provided; (until the last day) What was also disappointing; the owner kept blaming the on site staff which made no sense; as she has a manager who simply sailed through our guest room to fix something and didn't even have the courtesy to introduce herself. The owner expects paying customers to be patient with mishaps because she wasn’t there; which is no excuse for bad service from a property owner yet she seemed unwilling to accommodate our simple asks (honey). I understand you are not physically present; yet you expect paying guests to be patient with your lack of service. All meals were expected to be paid in USD cash; if and when a chef was available. Kitchen is only available in the main house; the ‘villas’ are actually just guest rooms with a fridge. We were lucky to have a very nice family staying in the main house at the same time and were very happy to share their space in the kitchen with us.

Great location, just in front of a gorgeous beach!! Big and confortable house with great comunication with owner and fantastic house keeping staff! Nice beds all with mosquito nets, very nice terraze and fantastic access to a fabulous beach!! No wifi, no AC, but we didn´t need the AC, it has blade fans in all rooms and in the house, wich worked real well!
