Eligio is a wonderful host and the house is really beautiful

Located on the edge of the town, this quiet and secure villa was just perfect for me and my wife to enjoy a belated honeymoon. The inside of the property was clean, well furnished with everything we needed for a stay of 9 nights. The spacious outside area was great for Yoga in the morning and spending the cool evenings. At the time of year we went, had a great light show most evenings from the thunderstorms that were happening further up the coast. The host was most accommodating and was on hand whenever needed. There was a great personal welcome and introduction to the property with some great advice on how to get the best from our vacation. I can also thoroughly recommend a trip to Fontanelle beach which is approximately 10km south on the coast road. Check out was equally simple and easy and the host spent some time to tell us about some of the history of the property and the previous generations that had worked on it. This was our first trip to Salento and did not really know what to expect. Our expectations were not just met but exceeded in every way. Eligio was an amazing, warm and generous host and nothing was too much trouble. The villa was immaculately clean, well appointed and set in an olive grove overlooking the sea. The atmosphere was tranquil and relaxing, a perfect setting to unwind from our busy lives. The nearest small town of Capilungo was very quiet but scenery quite captivating. Our favourite beach was between San Giovanni and Torre Mozza, a stretch of perfect golden sand and clear blue sea with few people there, only 20 minutes drive away and far better than the well known 'Maldives' beach. We drove to Racale most evenings to eat in a few of the wonderful local restaurants and enjoyed a weekend of festivities. We also visited the beautiful town of Lecce which was unmissable for the amazing architecture and cobbled streets. If you are looking for quiet stunning beaches, a warm welcome, fantastic food and an authentic Italian experience then this is the place to go! Thank you Eligio

We've just returned from a very happy 12 days at Eligio's lovely house in this peaceful part of the Salento. Eligio is a wonderful host, so charming and extremely helpful ... he even found me a dentist! The house is brilliantly equipped and beautifully designed. The wrap around terrace is even bigger than it looks on the photos, a fab place for breakfast and lazy dinners; there's always both shade and full sun as its orientation is well thought out. Everything worked perfectly and the overall design is really excellent. The plot is huge and you really feel you're in your own private estate ... but so close to the sea. A short drive to the beaches of the Baia Verde which are our favourites. Thank you Eligio, for a truly memorable holiday.

When looking for a holdiay home this one ticked all our boxes. A modern, clean and well equipped house in a quiet and private location. When meeting up with Eligio we came across a perfect host. With great passion he showed us around the house and garden. The photos on the site are good but the real thing is even better. Eligio thought of everything, from the bare essentials to a very welcoming bottle of local wine. We never rented such a well accomodated place. The seaside is only mintues away and along the coast plenty of private places and small beaches to be found. In Torre San Giovanni you can enjoy a nice walk on the promenade while tasting great Italian ice cream or Martinucci pastries. From Alliste we were able discover a great part of Salento (Lecce, Gallipoli, Santa Maria de Leuce) definitely worth a visit and within an hour or less. To visit Alberobello , home of the trulli, you need to count a full day. A great tip from Eligio was restaurant Il Molino in Felline (great Italian kitchen for a good price). Our short break in this comfortable house in the middle of the olive trees with daily blue skies and amazing sunsets exceeded all our expectations. We will be back again. Mille grazie Eligio.

We were with our daughter of 4 for 14 days at Eligio place. Salento is a very beautiful region in Puglia-Italy. The hospitality of Eligio is grandiose. We arrived at midnight in Capilungo, for him it was no problem to wait for us that late. When we arrived at the house we received a very nice basket filled with a lot of food ingredients. For every small problem, one sms to Eligio (super Mario) and after one minute we got the answer. Elogio was very keen to give us a lot of tips to visit the region. The impression of the pictures from the house is exactly what you get and even better. The house is very nice, a big typical garden of puglia and a lot of place to park your car. We were lucky that we could stay in such a lovely and very clean house. After a week all the laundry was replaced by fresh ones. Eligio, thank you very much to make our holiday a success.
