Luxury and Elegance in unspoiled nature with breathtaking sunsets

We stayed for 12 days with our 2 older kids in the villa. The location is amazing. Especially the sunsets at dinner are really wonderful and the close and easy access to a breath-taking coast for swimming. The villa is perfectly fine and the service and communication with our contact was great. Will need to come definitely again! thanks!

Our stay at Villa Anemona on the beautiful Greek island of Crete – all the way in the peaceful western part – was simply unforgettable.From the very beginning, we were warmly welcomed and felt truly cared for. A special thanks to Birgitta, the most attentive and thoughtful host one could wish for – we felt looked after in every way. The lovely welcome package was a perfect start, leaving nothing to be desired.The house itself is a dream – full of charm, comfort, and surrounded by nature. When the wind stops, you can literally hear the silence. And when it does blow, it carries the gentle sound of goats and their bells across the hills – a melody that feels like Crete’s own lullaby.We fell in love with the small, authentic tavernas nearby and the genuine warmth of the people here.

Me and a group of friends had a lovely stay at the villa. Brigitta was very accommodating and the villa has a great pool perfect for sunsets.

This villa is high spec and luxury. The views of the sea, the horizon pool, sunsets and the surrounding hills are so beautiful, it felt like VR! It was as if two of my favourite places in the UK had been fused together - Curbar Edge in the Peak District and Rocky Valley in Cornwall. You will need definitely need to hire a car (and a fairly powerful one) in order to stay here - it is a 1 hour 40 minute drive away from Chania airport. Driving here is not for the faint hearted or for those that suffer with car sickness. Once you are through Kissamos the roads become steep, windy and narrow with little or no barriers to protect you from plummeting down the mountains! We found that the local supermarkets are not that local and not really “super” markets either, more like a small local shop. We stocked up on the way to the villa in Kissamos on a Sunday (when a lot of shops are shut) and it was very expensive and they didn’t have any fresh meat or fish for the BBQ. Recommend going to a large supermarket near Chania airport before driving to the villa. The villa itself is lovely, it has a small indoor kitchen area with half size dishwasher and pretty much everything you need. There is a washing machine and clothes airer which is great and we went back home with a suitcase full of clean clothes! There are bath towels, bath robes, bath slippers, pool towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, bars of soap and liquid soap. Outside there are 4 sunloungers and two other seating areas, there is a hammock, a swing chair and a lilo for the pool. The only thing we felt was missing was some parasols/more shade for the recliners/seating area. However, you can lie in the shade on the recliners up to 11am ish (in July) as the sun rises behind the villa but after then if you want shade you have to sit around the outside dining table/BBQ area. One thing to be aware of, that is not mentioned on the website, is that there is another villa, built into the ground, directly in front of you. You can barely see it, or the people in it, unless they go into the grounds of their villa or to their car. However, you are aware that they are there and vice-versa. Loads of good restaurants within 30 mins - check out guest book/ask host for tips of where to go etc. We had a great week and would definitely recommend if you want a laid back, away from it all break with breathtaking views.

The house is fantastic in a quiet location, nice garden and outdoor area with BBQ and amazing view over the sea from the house and infinity pool. It is lovely sitting by the pool late at night and look at the starry sky. Nearby there are several nice restaurant and only 30 minutes away you find amazing Elafonisi beach.

Super good service, we arrived late at midnight but were really well received. The house has everything we needed for a family of 4. we would love to come back.

We absolutely loved our stay here in the peace and quiet of the west coast of Crete. A very remote and idillic location, the house is just wonderful. Great facilities and stunning sunset views. Birgitta was super, great communication and welcoming, couldn’t have wished for a more seamless experience.

Villa Anemona is the perfect place to escape your 9-5 lives. My husband and I loved staying here. Everything from the view, the pool, the sunsets, the solitude, and the villa itself made our visit beyond perfect. Birgitta was a fantastic host. Throughout the booking process she was easy to get in touch with and a great communicator. When we arrived to the villa she provided us with several staple items which were used throughout our stay. The bottle of Raki was delicious! Highly recommend!

We were two couples that were staying at Villa Anemona between 2 and 9 of october. We really like staying in the house it was very comfy, with big doors out to the very big and nice pool and poolarea. Ther were a big table where we had dinner every night.. A wonderful view and sunset. The bedrooms nice with balcony to each bedroom . And two bathrooms also. Every morning the where many sheeps and a shepherd right outside the house.
