    The pool was great, it was affected by the rain at one stage and Mimicha corrected the problem with immediate effect. We could not have asked for a better, more prompt response. The location was perfect for access to Lucca and surrounding area, the neighbours were lovely and the villa was clean and comfortable. All in all, a very enjoyable holiday. Thank you.

    Casa Elia is a wonderful place to stay in Tuscany. We were 10, 6 adults and 4 kids, and everybody agrees :) The house is well-equipped, rooms and beds comfortable, surroundings wonderful - and the pool is fantastic. Own car is necessary. There is a short drive to a small supermarket, pizzerias and gelateria in the village nearby. Golf and tennis courts were not open during our stay (July 2019) - not a real issue since it was too hot to play anyways. Thanks to Mimicha for a wonderful holiday :)

    The house and pool is very nice and situated in a beautiful hilly landscape. The village has good service and close supermarket. In the valley higher up there is a nice old village.It’s half an hours trip to the ocean just south of Viareggio where there is a beautiful long free beach.

    The house was in a beautiful setting. Easy to find as the German flag with Eagle on was flying from the flag pole in front of property. Unfortunately the walls of the house were damp and the ground floor (some bedrooms) was damp. Bed was damp. Signs of damp both on internal walls and external walls where they had been painted over, but paint was bubbling up/flaking off where damp was particularly bad. Good area for exploring Lucca and surrounding villages. Electricity supply to the house was a major problem as if we had two or more electrical items on at any one time, the fuse would continually trip. An upgrade to the electrics is urgently needed. Hot water supply was sometimes a problem to the kitchen sink. Although house advertised for up to 10 people, it really is suitable for 8. Only 8 sunbeds and 8 bed towels at the property. House easy to find as German flag flies high at the front of the house, along with statue of an Eagle. Basically the house was clean on arrival, but pictures, ornaments and cobwebs could have been attended to. A bit dusty. Lovely pool setting and walks around the grounds. The owners of the house gave us some wine as a goodwill gesture for our annoyance with the things as mentioned. Main concern was however the dampness and electrics. It has not put us off going to Italy, as we have been many times before staying in villas at various locations.;

    We had a wonderful stay at the house. The host was very helpful and was happy to accommodate all our needs. We were left a great welcome pack of biscuits, jams spaghetti, pasta sauce and a bottle of wine. There were a variety of wines for us to buy at a reasonable price. The swimming pool was bliss, especially as it was baking hot. The bedrooms and bathrooms were good, all with air conditioning, though many of us had arguments about whether it should be on or not during the night! We had wonderful evenings sitting outside with an amazing view of the trees across the valley. it is an idyllic place to be. We would highly recommend this for a holiday.

    Well appointed villa, good location, great pool, helpful and friendly owner. A few only minor issues. The description of bathroms is misleading. For each bathroom the description reads bath with shower which implies there is a bath. This is not correct. There are showers, not baths. There is not quite enough comfortable seating outside the house - not enough for 7 people. Plenty around the pool, but it would be good to have more around the terrace outside the house. Kitchen good, but a little short of utensils for cooking. OK if you want to reheat a pizza or for cold food. Otherwise everthing great. I would be happy to go again.

    Travelled here with two friends at the end of September this year. The description is an exact match for the property. There are no nasty surprises - the photographs are very recent and accurately reflect the property. It is an old agricultural building that has been tastefully renovated as a holiday home. It could easily be a full-time residence. The location is perfect, very quiet and secluded, but easy to find. Lucca is easily accessed, as are all the other tourist attractions in the area. All the rooms are comfortable. We arrived the day after a huge storm, so had a few minor problems with the electrics and WiFi, all of whihc were quickly sorted with Mimi's assistance (she speaks perfect English!) Despite the rural setting, there is a small supermarket, other shops and restaurants very close. In summary, a fantastic holiday - just wish we could have stayed longer. Would we go back? Yes!

    6 of us stayed at Casa Elia during July 2016 and we were not disappointed. The villa location is perfect, the views are stunning and it's very peaceful (apart from the local cockerel 'alarm clock'!) The outside area is fantastic and the photos don't do it justice. The pool and grounds are very spacious - the ping pong table and small golf course were an added bonus. Bedrooms are pretty & a good size. Our only criticisms are that we felt a few chairs around the pool other than just sun loungers would be good, the shower cubicles are quite snug, the mattresses a little springy and only one pillow for each person, the kitchen equipment was sufficient but it could do with some 'serving' type dishes for sharing salads etc) but these issues really did nothing to detract from a fantastic holiday and are just very small picky points! The owners were fantastic to deal with - extremely helpful and responded to queries very quickly. We ran out of gas during our stay but this was sorted within minutes! We took advantage of having a typical Tuscan meal prepared for us by Mimi (owner) and it was delicious. Overall we were absolutely delighted with the villa & had a fabulous holiday in a stunning area.

    We had a fantastic stay What a beautiful location. Mimicha was very welcoming and even left us a bottle of wine as a gift. The villa is traditional which we loved. It is large and exactly as described. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and hope to return. Travel to Lucca was easy and its an amazing place. Make sure you walk or cycle the walls!

    We had a wonderful week at Villa Elia celebrating my parents' Wedding Anniversary. The villa was everything we expected and more. My family and I (10 of us) stayed at the end of June and as this was our first family vacation together, we were a little unsure of how a week under the same roof would work out. The reason I share this is that not one argument was had and that in large part was due to the wonderful space, amenities and welcome that we received in Villa Elia. The villa is immaculately clean, very comfortable and provided all the space we needed as a large and varied family (3 generations together). We shopped in Lucca but found the local supermarket more than adequate and also very reasonably priced. We will be delighted to stay again in the future and have to warmly recommend other families to consider booking. You won't be disappointed.
