Large air-conditioned villa in mature garden, swimming pool

Super hosts who even met us at the airport which was so kind they were very friendly and helpful.You enter the villa by electric gates into an oasis of beautiful trees and shrubs and hedging giving you total privacy.There is train noise in the back ground but it is hardly noticeable.The pool area and terrace where surrounded by lovely planting again. The villa is spacious with everything you need for a lovely stay. You're only 5 minutes away from supermarkets and restaurants.We have just spent 2 amazing weeks here and cannot recommend it enough.

Lovely villa and great pool, children loved it and stayed in till late. Hosts were very nice and helpful.Nice walk along nearby canal into town. Beautiful Carcassonne walled city, spent most of the day there.

We booked last minute and what a find!!! This homeaway was the perfect setting for a fabulous break. We felt at home from the minute we entered through the electric gates. It sits in beautifully maintained and generously proportioned secure and private grounds. A number of terraces giving different views of the property as you either follow or seek a break from the sun during the day. The house has a very welcoming feel which was reflected in the efforts and kind attention of both our generous and helpful hosts. We could not have asked or expected more. Comfortably furnished and well equipped in addition to being conveniently located for both the airport and the city of Carcassonne (short drive to either location). There is a supermarket complex within a short drive / walking distance. Highway connections are also good if travelling further afield to the beach or other city excursions. We cannot recommend this property and our hosts highly enough and can hardly wait to book a return visit to our new found homeaway!! John & Fiona Aug 2019

he house is set in a large, private, well-kept garden. It is clean and fresh and all the bedrooms and bathrooms are in very good condition. The exceptionally clean pool is located in a very large sunny terraced area. The best parts of the house are the various pleasant terraced areas where we spent most of our time eating and relaxing. The house is only 10 minutes’ drive from the airport and is a short walk from an excellent hypermarket. The Canal du Midi is a five minute walk from the house and provides a nice 30 minute walk into Carcassonne in one direction and a nice canal side restaurant with a 40 minute walk in the other direction. Carcassonne is a clean and attractive town with a lively central square that has a good selection of Cafes and Restaurants. The old city is spectacular; one day we had a special lunch at the Hotel de la Cité; where, considering the beautiful setting and quality of food, the price was very reasonable. The mountain regions around Carcassonne are exceptionally beautiful and well populated with interesting Cathar castles.
