La Palapa was spacious, immaculate, well-equipped and a perfect location for our family. A bit out of town, easy to bicycle, quiet and with access to the beach. Colleen and Nora were terrific - responsive hosts and they gave us great tips for local restaurants & snorkeling. The kitchen was especially thoughtfully equipped. We hope to return to La Palapa!

This house was an absolute gem, and the backyard truly felt like a little oasis. We enjoyed our time at the house just as much as we enjoyed exploring the surrounding area. Watching the wildlife and relaxing by the pool was a highlight of our stay. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the amenities plenty. It’s always a bonus when the owners are wonderful—and that was definitely the case here. We received so many helpful tips from both Colleen and Nora. Their communication is great and they genuinely want you to enjoy your stay. As vegetarians, we also appreciated the restaurant recommendations. (El Huerto del Puerto was excellent, and the rooftop dining at Portside PM was fantastic—their black bean burger was top-notch.) We truly cannot recommend this stay enough. Thank you for sharing your home with us; what a cool experience!

Our hosts Colleen y Nora were awesome! They were always available to answer any questions, big and small. The house was very clean, and comfortable. The access and availability of our host to answer any questions, offer suggestions for places to eat, help setup car rental, and transportation to and from airport are just a few things that made our first experience in Mexico a very positive experience.

This wonderful, thoughtfully designed, carefully curated house was a magical place to stay in Puerto Morelos. The property is exquisitely maintained and the perfect place for a family vacation. The kitchen is fully equipped, the beds a great and there are TWO outdoor showers! The pool is a terrific option for non-beach swimmers, and theres a sunshade for outdoor meals. It is close to town, but rent a car as the heat can be a lot. Colleen is a present (but not hovering) host, happy to respond and answer all questions. She knows the best fishing guide, the best restaurants and kindly showed us a tour of the town. The housekeeper was lovely and most welcomed. The town has everything you need from restaurants offering vegan options to a night market with fun keepsakes. In short, my family and I can not say enough wonderful things about our time in Colleen's magical house, we can't stop talking about how to make it back before too long. I will recommend to all our friends!

Very comfortable for guest who would like a little privacy within the home. Great seating areas in the home and a fantastic pool area. Close enough is you want a nice walk into town while being very accessible for taxi or uber.

La Palapa is a beautiful home located in the heart of Puerto Morelos which is a charming little town with the most amazing food! The hosts Colleen and Nora were wonderful to work with and very accomodating. Nora greeted us on day 1 and offered to show us her restaurant picks and things to do around town. We had an issue with some ants but the hosts acted quickly and had someone come and spray, which resolved the issue! My only suggestion prior to visiting anywhere in Puerto Morelos is to inquire about the sargassum status and smell. It was very strong and if youre not used to it, it can be very overwhelming.

OMG!!! If you are looking for the most serene and peaceful place with everything arranged, look no further! Even before our arrival, Colleen made sure that our flight arrival was smooth. She arranged a private van for our family to and from the airport for a very reasonable price. She answered all of my questions and gave so many recommendations to accommodate us. When we arrived, Nora welcomed us there with balloons for my daughter’s birthday! I did not know she even paid attention to that detail, so it was a very pleasant surprise. She explained everything to us and even recommended a rental vehicle for us, also for a very reasonable price with no hidden fees or strings attached. Puerto Morelos Pier was located right in town only 5 minutes away from the villa. The beach is beautiful there and if you are worried about seaweed, do not worry about it at the Pier. There are restaurants, shops, and supermarket there as well. The villa is beautiful and spacious, plenty of space for my family of 5. The design is very unique with stone structure and tree trunk finishes. The view of the pool and garden area is gorgeous! I wanted to stay forever. The pool and garden was very clean and well-kept. The villa is equipped with everything you will need for your stay, including plenty of drinkable water, toiletries, dishes, etc. Most of all, the hospitality I was blessed to have with Colleen and Nora was the best part of it all. We were in great hands with them from start to finish!

Great stay here at La Palapa. The pool was especially lovely in the heat and I was joined briefly each morning by a little capybara.Thanks so much Colleen and Nora for sharing La Palapa with us.

The palapa was wonderful for our stay, we have 2 children, and we felt very safe in this area.There were a few ants/bugs in the home, but that is to be expected as the jungle is in the backyard. The check-out process was a little confusing, as there is no written instructions posted as to check-out time and procedures, but otherwise the hosts were lovely and so helpful. Highly recommend!!

What a gem in every way! Staying here made our entire vacation. Nora and Colleen were incredible and so warm and inviting. Their communication from the very beginning was excellent. They gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and snorkeling. The house was beautiful, clean and spacious with comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and the pool was a perfect place for our family to relax and enjoy after a day at the beach. What a beautiful, serene home-away-from-home Colleen and Nora have created in Puerto Morelos! The home and property are thoughtfully appointed and beautiful. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The home is spotless. The private pool and grounds are so well maintained and clean. The property location is quiet and safe - I could have stayed here for months!But what really made this an all-around 5 star review was the exceptional kindness and professionalism of the hosts. Nora and Colleen are simply wonderful! Their communication was fantastic - always quick to respond both leading up to and throughout our stay. When my transportation to the airport fell through, to my great relief, they kindly directed me to a reliable and trusted driver. Bottom line: don’t pass this listing up! I’ll be booking again for 2026! (Fingers crossed!)

We had a fantastic stay at the house—it was ideal for our group of three. The pool was fantastic, and the location couldn’t have been better, just a short walk to the beach. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, and the host stayed in touch throughout our stay, ensuring we had everything we needed. We also worked remotely for a few days, and the Wi-Fi was reliable. Highly recommend!

The home is gorgeous. We had everything we needed. Hosts are extremely communicative and available. We would absolutely return. Just lovely.

We had a relaxing, amazing time. The outdoor shower, pool and garden area were just what we needed to get away and connect. Nora met us at the house and took us on a tour of the village. Couldn’t have asked for a better host. Looking forward to our next visit.
