Stayed Apr 8, 2026This place was immaculate!!! My family absolutely was in awe!! It reminded my husband so much of his mother and her taste in furniture and decor. Our 8 year old daughter learned to play checkers with her older brother as her teacher. Alsobher favorite game is air hockey which was also available at this immaculate home. Allnof us were so comfortable with the insuite bathrooms in every room. Such a breathtaking view!!! I swear i didnt want to come home 7 days was not enough!! Claudia was very available and even answered messages at 11 pm at night. 10 out of 10 recommended!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Stayed Aug 31, 2024We had the worst experience with this rental - the entire place was filthy and we had a serious injury occur that required a trip to the emergency room and surgery during our stay due to unsafe practices. Unfortunately, the basement level bedroom with two beds was completely unusable because the basement is filled with mold and incredibly damp and humid. There are cases of DampRid everywhere but all the linens smelled so strongly of mold - both people chose to sleep on the couches upstairs because of potential for health hazards and obviously filthy conditions. The bottom level fridge had dried spills on the refrigerator shelves. There are BOTH living and dead bugs and dust, EVERYWHERE; every single shower and tub had between 4-20 alive and dead spiders in them, there were bugs living on some of the doors downstairs, and all the door and window frames were lined with bug carcasses. The amenities listed are misleading - many were broken, such as the jacuzzi and air hockey table, and there were hazards like exposed plumbing. The lack of soap AND used bar soap in the showers are a clear indicator the property was not cleaned before our stay. The stairs are unsafe - the carpet is not tacked down in many places, like the top and bottom, resulting in one of our party falling and breaking their leg in 2 places. We bought N95 masks to help with the mold/dust and still left a day early to save ourselves. Pictures available upon request!

Stayed Jul 13, 2024Our family loved our stay at the Sorrento Villa! The bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, the open floor plan, the view from the back and deck, and the great kitchen provided lots of spaces for conversation, fun, games, etc. Best of All...the house itself is a fascinating museum--so many wonderful paintings, antiques, lamps, chandeliers, books, rugs to engage your gaze. The dining room provided a perfect backdrop for our 22-year-old granddaughter...such fun!

Stayed Jul 3, 2024Our family stayed here over the Fourth of July. This is a great house. Very large and spacious and well appointed. The location is superb — just between Boone and Blowing Rock and the views of the northern mountains are exceptional. The backyard is huge — big enough for a pickup football or softball game! The property manager was extremely helpful and prompt. We’ll be back!
