Holiday rental, self catering villa Pointe D'esny. South east of Mauritus.

The villa was perfect for our family of 4. The pool was lovely and warm, nice lush garden for the kids to play in and all the mod cons you could ask for in a rental property. The maid was lovely, she comes every day to tidy, wash, clean and even prepares the fruit you buy from the local supermarket. The hosts were amazing..always on hand to answer questions and give advice on local activities etc. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Villa Vakoa

We enjoyed 10 magical days at Villa Vakoa. Everything is perfectly designed and appointed for instant relaxation; from the warm welcome and perfectly-judged hospitality of Diane and Christophe, to the comfort of the villa itself, the lushness of its garden and delights of the private pool. The location is wonderful – just steps away from a picture-postcard beach of white sands, turquoise waters and stunning views. All our needs were anticipated and provided for, from a welcome meal and daily cleaning, to snorkelling gear, beach towels and local recommendations. Diane and Christophe made everything so easy, pleasant and friendly. We’d definitely recommend doing activities which can be easily arranged while you’re there: one of our highlights was a fantastic catamaran cruise to the Ile aux Cerfs. Hiring a car would be useful, although we managed perfectly well without; it’s easy to get buses and taxis from outside the villa to go to the nearby supermarket and other local towns and beaches (Blue Bay Marine Reserve is only 5 minutes away – excellent snorkelling!) I have stayed at many holiday rental properties and this has been by far the best experience I’ve had. I recommend Villa Vakoa without hesitation and hope to stay again if I’m lucky enough to visit Mauritius again – I feel sure we’d be welcomed like old friends!

We had a wonderful time in Villa Vakao with our three kids. Villa Vakao was our fourth place to rent during our two months stay in Mauritius. The cleaning standard is very high, which is something we appreciate having small children. The house is well equipped, the garden is beautiful and with a swimmingpool which is maintained daily by the owners. The beach is not far away and offers white sand and clear blue water. We had realy nice, relaxing holiday in this gorgeous, tasteful equipped villa. It was very peaceful, we enjoyed the delights of all the facilities and the intimacy of the shady garden with the pool was perfect for a family with children. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking to enjoy the typical South of the country and the most preserved region, far from the mass tourism of the North.
