Stayed Jul 7, 2024It was a wonderfully restful stay. However, we did several day trips and it was somewhat isolated from the major cities.

Stayed Aug 12, 2023A very relaxing holiday for everyone. Great swimming pool was lots of fun. The two houses worked very well for our family of ten. Plenty of bathroom space. The weekly market was brilliant. A few nice restaurants for a lovely night out. All in all wonderful.

Stayed May 27, 2023Had a fantastic time in hills outside Bologna. Stunning views and very peaceful location with wild grounds to explore. Large practical accomodation with everything you need, but spent most of the time outside. Up steep but quiet lane from vergato, 25min walk to town but kids (5-9yrs) had no problem up or down. Pool not heated but temperature fine for kids and adults at end of May. Had an amazing time.

Stayed Aug 28, 2018My friends and I had an amazing stay at Casa Ruspiano. The house is well appointed and secluded...just what us city folk were seeking. Atop our own little mountain the Casa welcomes you with incredible views, a shimmering pool, and lots of outdoor areas to relax and enjoy. We explored the area from Bologna and Modena to the north to Pistoia to the south. Sandra was incredibly responsive and helped to connect us with locals to create a perfect experience. Chef Angela prepared us an incredible feast on our final evening and it is a moment we won’t soon forget. Come to reset and leave enriched! I hope to be back!

Stayed Dec 31, 196910 adults used this villa as a home base for 2 1/2 weeks while we traveled to Florence, Venice, Lucca and Pisa. It is ideal for sharing time with friends, cooking and exploring the country side. The villa is well equiped, has good wifi coverage and is very comfortable. A car is an absolute must for trips to town for groceries and the train station. The villa Manager, Angela, is responsive to your needs and speaks English, which was nice. We had a fabulous time at Villa Ruspiano.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969To holiday in Vergato is a real Italian delight and what awaits you at this fabulous accommodation is truly a wonderful experience; it's ideal for family get togethers. The villa is well cared for and any request is taken into consideration. Whilst every amenity is provided to enable you to self cater you must try some of the local restaurants , pizzaria La Brace in the village does great pizza. For days out getting into Bologna and Florence are well worth a visit, train fares are modestly priced. If you're an early riser you could even consider a day in Verona , as this is quite a compact city the main sights are do able in a day. I would highly recommend to friends and family!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Spent 7 days at this lovely villa with family and friends and absolutely loved it. Great interiors with lovely contemporary finish. Plenty of space for the 10 people in our party to relax and unwind. The pool is enormous and the kids simply did not want to get out of it. Practical things - town is just 1km away and has everything that you need. That plus the Italian sunshine and food - you can't ask for more!
