Four Spectacular Colonial Villas In Historic Mexico- sleeps up to 28

The well-equipped villas are situated about a five-minute drive from the bustling center of Cuernavaca, but the beautiful property feels like it's in a remote village. We rented the entire place (4 villas) to house friends and family and for a large pre-wedding event with about 80 people. Despite some initial misunderstandings - be prepared to speak some Spanish when you arrive - we had a wonderful time and were very sad to leave. The patios in front of the villas are inviting for late-night chats and there is also a big open barbeque area for larger parties (the supermarket to get supplies is just around the corner). The big pool is great for a morning swim or for playing a round of waterpolo and there is also a tennis court and enough room for a family soccer game on the lawn. One piece of advice, if you rent the entire property: when you leave, just be sure to put all the silverware and towels back into the villa of origin before the final walk-through with the owner. All in all, the Villas de Colores are an absolutely gorgeous place to relax and a great base to explore Cuernavaca and other parts of Morelos. Because it is in a gated community, the place also feels very safe.

My family and friends rented a villa in February of 2008 to visit my daughter who was studying in Cuernavaca at the time. The villa housed five of us more than comfortably, and the interior was beautiful, authentic to Mexico, and of high quality. The grounds are spectacularly beautiful, a nice haven for any type of vacation. I recommend the Villas de Colores whole-heartedly and hope to return for an encore visit!
