Elegant Villa, Caminha. Pool & large garden. Near market towns & beaches.

Caminha is beautiful. House had everything we needed.

Modern home, with good internet in a quiet neighborhood. Because of our special kids the house was most important. And it was just like at home, with a lot of privacy, lots of room. Loads of dvds and even games present. But the internet and some books was enough for us. With a car you can reach all places you want to visit. (For us not that many.) Hard to see a lot of places were closed (due to covidyear?) but the nice town had everything we needed. The owner was very forthcoming, the housekeeper a little difficult to understand (more our problem as we don’t speak Portuguese ;-)) Recommend this home.

Perfectly located, 5 minute drive from Caminha center, 10 minute drive from the beach and dozens of cultural places surrounding the villa. The heated swimming pool is just amazing. Checking-in was simple, Anabela is a nice host. If you want to relax with your family, visit world class heritage, swim in the crystalline river waters, eat nice food surrounded by nice people, don't miss the opportunity to visit Minho.

What a delight it was to stay here, great facilities in a great location with very helpful owners. Perfect for families.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home and quite location. THe owner was quick to respond to any questions that we had. We were a little disappointed that the location had advertised a heated pool and upon our arrival that's not what we found. This is the main reason we chose this location over many other we had looked at. We were told that the pool is rarely heated and ready during the time of our staywhich was the first week of April. Yes the weather was cold and rainy at times but there were times of the day we could have used the pool had it been ready. If I were renting this property again I'd make sure that I asked specifically about the pool being ready if this was one of the selling points of the property. It's big and very comfortable and well furnished. I'd just clarify the pool if that's what I was looking for again.

We had a fantastic time in the Villa. The spacious layout was perfect for two families, allowing all 8 of us to come together but still maintain our own space. The villa is jam packed full of toys, PlayStation games & books, so we all had something to do in the event of getting bored from being in the stunning pool. The weather was wonderful during our stay and we chilled most of the time, the kids (ages 6,5,3&1) were not interested in going to the beach, they just wanted to be in the pool at the villa and use all the space to run around the garden! Beds were super comfy, with lovely crisp linen and the rooms were very cool at night once we left the shutters down. The shutters are full length electronic & completely black out if you wish (a godsend in helping the kids sleep in!). The secret terrace behind the pool was also fab for catching the evening sun whilst sipping on a Spritz... We had a truly wonderful time, the villa was way better than we had anticipated. Communication with Anna & Adrian was top notch and we were delighted that Jorge met us in a restaurant on our arrival and guided us to the villa. We really enjoyed the stay in our Caminha villa as it is located in a perfect spot to explore the Minho region in Northern Portugal. The road system is excellent whether you take the major roads or the scenic side roads. There is much to see and do in and around Caminha and we especially enjoyed the fortress at Valenca and her sister town, Tui, across the Minho ind Spain. We were also enthralled by Oporto which is a short drive from Caminha. The people of Caminha were wonderful and treated us as friends. The most enjoyable time of the day was when we headed back to our lovely villa and enjoyed its comforts. The villa is very spacious, private and relaxing with large windows that open to the pool area, lawns and surrounding hills. Anna the owner of the property was very reponsive and provided us with all the help and information that we needed for our stay. We will always remember our time in Caminha and our first thoughts will be of our lovely villa which we would return to in a heartbeat.

This villa was ideal for two families to share for a wonderful two week break. Superb facilities and amble room with a refreshing pool to cool off. The area is also beautiful and there are lots of places to visit. I would recommend this to anyone without doubt.

We booked the villa for a week in early October for some winter sunshine. We took the owner's recommendation for car hire (who were half the price of the larger companies!) and were met at the airport with our rental car. The villa was straight forward drive from Porto airport and easy to find on the private development thanks to the helpful instruction pack we received beforehand. The villa itself is absolutely stunning, modern, stylishly decorated, very spacious and superbly equipped. The villa is very private and not overlooked with plenty of space for lounging by the pool. The weather was great throughout our stay and the heated pool was warm enough for a dip (even in early October!). We loved the log fire in the lounge in the evenings and used the outdoor BBQ most days. The welcome pack on arrival with lots of information and recomendations about the surrounding area was really useful, we explored the very pretty Caminha (5mins drive away) as well as towns further along the coast. The villa is fully loaded with toys - we hooked our iPods up to the sound system in the day and raided the DVD collection in the evening. There were also a couple of PS2's and lots of games as well as books and board games, oh and a table football for good measure too! We had a great week and would definately stay again.
