Detached Caribbean-style villa / 1 air-conditioned bedroom / sleeps 2

We loved our stay with Sylvia. Her property is simply a tropical paradise and she and her staff are great. The accommodations are very basic, and rather quaint which suited us just fine. If you are expecting slick, new and air conditioning, this is not the place for you. But if you want a little piece of tropical beauty, with a great pool, then we would highly recommend this property. you must like dogs as well ,there are 5 of them

The gardens are lovely and the pool is spectacular. The casita is very unique with a bohemian vibe and is very comfortable for 1-2 people. It is an easy walk to beach, bars and restaurants and few minutes drive to large supermarket. Bring basics like salt, pepper, sugar, tea and coffee. Must love dogs, there are 4 dogs and 3 that like to visit. We would love to return.

Overall this property is as nice,clean and private as advertised. The owner Sylvia, along with her 5 well behaved dogs made me feel very welcome and comfortable. The casita is located just on the eastern outskirts of Los Terranes, which is about a 10 -15 minute walk to several nice beaches or into town where there are lots of nice restaurants and things to do. If you want to rent a Quad for exploring further, then I recommend doing it through Sylvia as she will get you a good rate with no hassles. What a wonderful day we spent driving through the hillsides and beaches ! The pool is exquisite and I swam in it every day.The kitchen is adequately equipped with pots and pans and cutlery, the shower has decent pressure and the double bed is comfortable. There is no A.C., but a couple of ceiling fans make it pleasant. There is a small fridge and stove which work well ( I cooked most of my meals there).The property is beautifully maintained by the pleasant and friendly staff Cirio and Fabienne. I had a lovely vacation and would recommend this property if you are looking for a nice, secluded, private, 'real Dominican' place as opposed to a busy, noisy all inclusive destination. I enjoyed my stay at this property a lot! Needed few weeks away from all the craziness that surrounds us these days ( 2020-2022). This place: Las Terrenas and the case we rented was like living in a little paradise. 15 min walk to the Town Center, Fish market or a beach. Great owner and super funny dogs on the property. The only thing I would improve is the internet , that was not very good and lasted for few minutes sometimes. But otherwise charming little villa surrounded with Caribbean plants . Loved it! Sylvia’s little villa and the exquisite walled garden and pool are pretty much a slice of heaven here in Las Terrenas. The villa consists of an enclosed, screened bedroom and bathroom and an extensive living-and-cooking area, covered with palm-thatch and open to the pool, directly in front. The compound seems large but this may be an illusion. It is beautifully landscaped and feels totally secure. The grounds and pool are maintained daily by a small, very friendly staff. The kitchen has everything you need to cook simple meals, including refrigerator and a gas stove with a working oven. The bedroom is stylish and comfortable with sufficient storage place for your clothes. The fan kept the bedroom pleasantly cool during our January stay. The shower works well. Best of all is Sylvia, who is friendly and delightful without being in the slightest intrusive. You should know three things before coming here … but we will happily return here despite these three things … 1) You share the compound with three well-behaved dogs and a couple of cats … 2) The WiFi occasionally works well … even well-enough to watch Netflix … but is frequently and annoyingly unreliable … much worse than other places we have stayed in Las Terrenas. And … 3) The villa is not located in “downtown” Las Terrenas. It is a one kilometer walk to the Lindo supermarket. It is also one kilometer to Playa Punta Poppy. These one-kilometer distances are perfectly walkable ... or it costs just a few US dollars to get a luxury taxi-ride back “home”. Or you could rent a vehicle. Sylvia and her villa are wonderful.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. Sylvia was very nice and accommodating.
