Welcome to this two-hundred-year-old traditional country house, which for many years has been in the hands of a local family. Their warmth and the passing of their family history, told with love from parents to children, is captured in their rooms.
Being only 300 metres from Órgiva, it is a pleasant walk of less than five minutes from town. The walk leads us to the automatically opening main gate, which when opened shows us luxuriant gardens. Ancient cypresses, orange trees and other fruit trees (grapefruit, persimmon, quince, plum, avocado, lemons and mandarins) stand majestically with Sierra Lújar as a backdrop. Ornamental plants, geraniums, rose bushes and hibiscus paint the gardens with colours. Two mill wheels, a water trough and the sound of the irrigation canal running along the side of the farm remind us of the agricultural character of the fertile Guadalfeo valley.
The pool will immediately catch your attention! It is delightfully located and invites you to a relaxing dip—the blue of the water contrasts pleasantly with the greenery and colours of the garden. At night it surprises with a show of colour since it is equipped with multi-colour LED lighting. A fountain with water lilies completes the scene to make your sunbathing doubly relaxing.
Beyond the pool is the delightful gazebo with a central table and chairs for seven people to enjoy outdoor lunches. It also has some armchairs where everyone can relax comfortably. An ornamental fountain surrounded by stone benches completes the relaxed atmosphere of this outdoor space that will undoubtedly be the main focus of your family vacation.
You access the interior through the main entrance and in the foyer you’ll find vestiges of past times. The floor proudly shows off its traditional tiles, the ceiling beams and the antique mirrored sideboard give us a hint of the classic essence of the house.
From the foyer we access the living room, not an overly large space, as is the Alpujarra tradition, but extremely cozy and agreeable. Here the traditional decor of the house is more evident—an antique sideboard displays local ceramics and brass utensils on the mantelpiece give old world character.
Through an arch in its wide walls is access to the kitchen. Although old traditional kitchen utensils are on display, the kitchen is more practical and adapted to current needs. It is equipped with the modern appliances that we usually have in our homes.
The owners invite you to taste the wines of their own harvest, a bottle of white wine and another of red await you upon arrival courtesy of the charming Angelina. For those who wish to repeat the experience, more bottles are available in the kitchen with a self-payment method (honesty box).
On this same floor is a complete bathroom with a shower, laid out in the same practical style.
The stairs lead you to the first floor, to a hall that gives access to the different rooms. The master bedroom with a double bed has a large window and typical wrought iron ‘rejas’.
Also on this floor is another double bedroom with two single beds, a complete bathroom in white with a shower, the laundry room and access to a sunny terrace. This terrace (which may also be accessed from the outside) is perfect for enjoying an aperitif, taking in the views of the garden and the swimming pool.
Returning to the interior of the house, you go up to the second floor where there are two more bedrooms: one single and the other double with two single beds. Also on this floor is a WC and a magnificent games room. The games room has a spectacular window that floods the room with light. It houses a very well stocked library, board games, fireplace, television with access to Netflix and a PlayStation PS4 Pro that will delight the little ones, and the not so young . . .
From here, more stairs lead to the sun terrace that offers impressive views of the Andalusian landscape that surrounds the house.

The website material is very accurate and the hosts, Jose and Angelina, were great. The house sits in a very pleasant and private garden with a large pool. There’s a large garage to keep the car from the sun. It’s a short walk into town for the shops and bars. We had a great time there.

We stayed early may in Villa Adelaide and had a wonderful time in and around the house. The garden is even better than in all the pictures. The oranges were each morning fresh from the trees. Orgiva is ideal for trips to the Alpajurra pueblos blancos, Granada and even the Costa Tropical. Gracias to Angelina y José for the welcome with flowers, bread, water, wine ..... Even our Bordercollie was very welcomeand had fun in the garden. Hasta la vista from Patrick y Peggy and Nookie

My wife and I stayed here for a week, arriving on the 9 March. Antonio was really good at keeping in touch throughout the booking process. We were greeted by Jose and Angelina who were both very welcoming and showed us around everything the house and garden had to offer. We especially loved all the fresh citrus fruit and herbs - made a nice change from what we are able to grow back home in Manchester! The homemade wine and olive oil was also a really lovely touch. The villa itself is really well equipped and was perfect for the two of us but there is plenty of space for a bigger group too. The wood burner was a great feature as the nights can be a bit chilly on the hillside even though we were lucky to have warm weather for our entire stay. The town itself is in easy walking distance and makes an ideal base for a relaxing stay - plenty of nice cafes and restaurants, plus the church in the centre of town is really picturesque. It's also ideally located for sightseeing in Granada etc. We used it as a base for exploring the Sierra Nevada on our bikes and it was perfect for that - so many great, quiet roads and not a pothole in sight! We have already made plans to come back again, perhaps in late summer/early autumn. Thank you so much to Antonio, Jose and Angelina for making our stay so relaxing.

A perfect house in a beautiful setting on the edge of an “ interesting “ town which has all the necessary facilities. There are many walks from the town or jump in a car and the area abounds with places , walks , to see and do.

We, a couple from the Netherlands, stayed in Villa Adeleida in Oktober 2018. On arrival Angelina and José Carrascosa Perez (the parents from Antonio) were there to welcome us and toke all the time to show us the hole of Villa Adeleida (it is big!). They are wonderful and warm people! As a welcome they brought us apples, lemons, tomatos, peppers, kilo’s of the most lovely grapes, oliveoil and 2 bottles of wine (when your traveling by car: you can also buy some to take home). All very tasting and outstanding quality from their farm in Pampaneira. And organic! We never had such a warm welcome anywhere! Villa Aleida in Orgiva is there familyhouse since generations. Therefore it is authentic and a real house. There is a well fitted (and clean!) kitchen, a woodburning stove, 2 modern updated bathrooms with a lot of hot water in the shower, and a good bed and pillows. The nights are dark and full of silence; we slept like a rose. Outside there is a beautiful garden with all the different fruits Orgiva has to offer and we were allowed to take and eat what we wanted. The 2 old avocadotrees were amazing! Then the lovely pool with beds to lay in the sun and a very big schaded area where we had wonderful meals. Walking to the centre of Orgiva is only 10 minutes and oh, yes, also very important: Villa Aleida has very fast working internet to! Villa Aleida has everything you want in a home away from home. It has a wonderful atmosphere (witch is only possible with such sympathic owners), it is clean and taken good care off. There is no doubt we will go back to Villa Adeleida next time!!
