Luxurious 19th Century Villa with Orange Fountains Gardens and Private Pool

Thank you so much for another lovely holiday in Villa Adelaide. We have visited Orgiva many times and our holiday homes have grown along with our family. This is a perfect place to stay with teenagers who can have privacy in the villa and also walk easily into town. Daughter loved her little private patio on the roof! Weather was a bit more unpredictable this year ending with what felt like hurricane winds on Friday. Fortunately the villa is very cosy with heating and plenty of portable heaters for cooler evenings. Always lovely to see Angelina and Jose who work so hard to keep the house and garden in tiptop shape.They are great hosts. Really hope to visit again soon.

We had a fabulous time. The villa is situated just on the edge of Orgiva so very quiet whilst being just 10 minute walk to the centre. Pool was a natural success & much used Owners were super helpful We would not hesitate to recommend their home to others. The only disappointment was that none of the numerous fruits were quite ripe enough for us to pick & enjoy ?

As soon as we arrived we felt higly comfortable immediately. We got welcomed very nice by Antonio's lovely parents. Antonio himself gave us great tips and recommendations for places to visit and was always ready to help if we needed something. All in all it was one of the best holidays we had because of the welcomming family, the wonderful residence and the gorgeous environment. We really hope to come a second time!

When we arrived we could not have had more welcoming hosts. The property and grounds and pool were great for relaxing in the sun. There are really good restaurants in Orgiva which is a few minutes walk. Very quiet during the night so we got a great nights sleep. We made our own orange juice from the oranges growing on the property. We would certainly go back to Villa Adelaida and would recommend it to others, especially if you are looking for something in a quiet area. From a self catering point of view there are plenty of shops in the town to buy supplies from supermarkets to little specialality shops.

This is one of the best holiday rentals I've experienced so far in 20 years or so of European travel. Villa Adelaida has everything you will need for a really relaxing and comfortable stay set against a stunning backdrop of mountain scenery. The property is furnished and equipped like a home rather than a holiday rental and Jose and Angelina take great pride in making sure everything is ready for you on arrival. They even provide a few essentials for that late arrival including their own organic wine, olive oil and bread. The gardens are beautiful and varied and very well tended by Jose and Angelina. The pool is very large and kept at a good temperature - just right for cooling off when we were there in August. The villa is ideally located close to Orgiva. You can easily walk to the local bakers for example where they bake organic bread. You can walk to the weekly market in about 15-20 minutes at a steady pace. Orgiva itself is an interesting town - lots of its own history merged with the more recent new age interest make for quite an eclectic mix. Check out the organic store in the market or the herbalist in the street just down from the church. The Villa is ideally located for visits to the wider Alpujarras region. You can take a day trip up to the beautiful white washed villages of Pampaneira or Bubion. If you feel like a swim in the med you can easily make it to the coast in around 45 minutes or 1 hour to places like Nerja if you like a sandy beach. If you are thinking of visiting this area then you really can't go wrong in this property - book early as it is sure to be in demand!

Amazing villa in beautiful grounds, good size swimming pool and spacious outdoor living space. The whole villa was so well equipped and very comfortable. The hosts were the most warm and helpful couple who visited twice a week to keep the pool clean and check everything was ok. Stunning area with great views of the mountains from the property. One of the best villas we have stayed in- you will not want to leave!

Fantastic! Absolutely the best house we have ever stayed in, a truly wonderful place with everything anyone could ever wish for and more besides for a really fabulous holiday. Well positioned for exploring the Sierra Nevada with its beautiful white washed villages, yet within easy reach of sun sea and surf! I really cannot praise enough what an absolutely wonderful place this is, and Mamma and Poppa - well what can I say! they were the most beautiful, kindest people I have ever met, I only hope that we can remain friends always for they really were so so lovely, thank you so much for making our holiday such a wonderful one, you were simply fantastic!
