The masseria is located in the very center of the lovely town of Muro Leccese and just a stone’s throw from the beautiful sea of Otranto.
The property, which dates back to the sixteenth century, is located in a gorgeous square in the historical centre of the town and opens out onto a large and private garden. The house, which is built over two levels, can accommodate up to 10 guests and consists of two double bedrooms, one double bedroom that also includes a single bed plus two twinbedrooms. The house includes 4 bathrooms and 1 guest bathroom near the kitchen. The property boasts a lovely outdoor area including a very well kept garden, an equipped pergola and beautiful swimming pool. The pergola houses a large dining table where guests can enjoy al fresco dining and the swimming pool is in a higher level where you can enjoy beautiful views of the old town.
Muro Leccese is one of the finest towns south of Lecce, never too crowded but also never too empty (in the winter). Very safe. The sea of Otranto, just 10 minutes away, is one of the most beautiful in Italy. In Otranto there is a private beach with shaded area and a small restaurant which we normally suggest. Otherwise, there are many places that you can discover if you are more on the adventurous side.
The house is in a beautiful square which is almost private (our house takes the entire square front), and is 100 m. from the main square. In the vicinity you will find excellent sweets and cakes and some fine restaurants, really affordable. No problem with free parking your cars either in front or in the rear in Via San Pietro .
The house is full of art/design in the dining area inside and everywhere and has an elegant swimming pool, table tennis area, large gardens and stunning outside dining area for up to 20 people
It is very elegant, decorated with carefully selected art pieces, furniture coming from different areas of Italy plus some pieces made locally.
The kitchens are very well equipped with pottery and stools so that it is possibile to organise meals for many guests and also has a nice barbeque outside.
Ideal for families who like space and beautiful objects and want to offer their guests an ideal vacation. Also ideal for large groups, the Ferramosca hosts 10 people and you have the opportunity to add an Annex with 2 more bedrooms and bathrooms if you need extra rooms or you can add the other property called Bevilacqua next door : in total you could reach up to 30.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The staff and communication along the way was so great and helpful. There was plenty of areas to relax and the pool was a great way to end the day after exploring the nearby beaches. The town is lovely and the property had all the amenities to enjoy cooking and relaxing. Thank you and we will be back!

We absolutely loved our visit to Puglia. The house has been thoughtfully and beautifully maintained to preserve the original features of the building but made contemporary so that you can live in it comfortably with friends or family. The garden provides many places to sit with friends and the pool is separate and set above the main garden which makes it safe for children and also provides a view over the old walls and buildings of the village. The owner and housekeeper were extremely responsive, communicative and helpful in the lead up and during our stay. We visited the town of Lecce and Gallipoli which we loved as well as nearby beaches. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we would love to return.

A really special place. With a mindfull concept renovated. Contempory design but still a lot of the real authentic house and special situation of patio living. Nice outdoor situations, big stone terraces, stone stairs, walls and nice outdoor showers. big and welcoming kitchen! Incredible nice pool with a view behind the plants to the village and the church ...

A group of 6 childhood friends embark on an Italy vacation. Experience was awesome. Seemed like the Masseria was designed to enjoy each others company, be it in the kitchen, living room, outside covered area or by the pool. Prior to arrival Pricillia was very communicative and responsive. Upon arrival it was the Luigi show - he was awesome in responding to questions, arranging car service and organizing a dinner by a chef in the house. Highly recommend the chef dinner - it was flat out awesome. Massaeria is convenient by car to everywhere. Highly recommend Antonio as a driver. Overall great experience!

We are two families with grown up children - together 10 people. We stayed one week (end July, beginning August 2018) at Ferramosca and were totally under the spell … The province of Lecce is known for its baroque monuments and at times it can all become a bit too much … Muro Leccese however is tempered, its delicate baroque is all concentrated on the central square … Already there the spell begins … But then you enter Ferramosca, through a proud steel gateway, and you are overwhelmed by another enchantment … For these blessed moments you will live in a house full of light, joy and delight… Pure poetry also ... It is clear that it has been meant this way by the most charming owners. If you will have to forget about standard bathrooms, you will enjoy the splendid swimming pool, the generous garden and the most convivial outdoors. There is something indefinable about the house. Maybe it is because of the many different levels and shapes, the massiveness of its seemingly rough though so calcareous and soft warm stones … Seemingly contradictory, nature and art rule together in this environment … you just have to surrender.

My husband and I stayed as part of a larger group in this gorgeous newly renovated 18th C palazzo in the charming Puglian town of Muro Leccese. It is just off the central town square and hidden away behind closed door is a paradise of walled gardens and tempting pools. The renovation has been done with wonderful taste and comfort – strong water pressure in the showers, effective air conditioning, comfortable beds and even a commercial icemaker! The house was well cleaned and dealing with the owner was a pleasure. There was easy safe parking just opposite the main entrance. We spent days by the pool and evenings outside under the stars. Mid morning we often visited charming Caffe Miron in the nearby Piazza del Popolo for coffee and their special local pastries. Sometimes we returned in the early evening for an aperitivo - on offer is an incredible selection of hot and cold canapes to go with drinks. Cooking was easy after we were directed to Valentino Pedio Grocers a short walk away in via Salentina. Everything you could want including the freshest fruit and vegetables, bread, some delicious homemade prepared dishes and the best salumi and cheese. The best chocolates and cakes are a short drive away at Maglio in Maglie. I have never tasted anything as delicious as the chocolate covered fruit. Ever. I even brought some back to London to remind us of our wonderful holiday. I can’t begin to list all the wonderful excursions we went on and restaurants we visited but you will be able to choose yourself from the information left for you in the villa. My husband found it the perfect place to cycle. My favourite was hanging out at La Dolce Riva beach club in Otranto. Great people watching, lovely lunch and an easy place to swim in the sea. We can’t wait to return!

I had an amazing stay in Masseria Ferramosca , absolutely tasteful decorated with lots of charme. The fusion between ancient and modern is perfect! There is lots of space and privacy for everyone . The outside area is also wonderful, so many different lounging areas with amazing views on the garden. We also loved the pool and the outdoor dining area. The rooms and bathrooms are so beautiful that don’t seem real . The house and also the kitchen is very well equipped. The surrounding was very quiet and beautiful. Muro Leccese is one of the most charming villages in Salento (we loved the pastry bar, Ferruccio, located very near to the villa; don’t miss to taste pasticciotto !). We can really recommend this place and for sure I'll return!
