Casale Vignazze - Renovated old farmhouse in Punta Secca

We have really enjoyed our recent stay at Casale Vignazze. The appartment is located in a quiet area surrounded by agricultural fields. The appartment is really big, clean and has just been renovated. A big terrace can be entered from the kitchen. There are nice beaches nearby and beautiful villages like Ragusa or Modica for sightseeing. Fabrizio and Natalia were very friendly and gave very good tips for restaurants and nice places. If you are a family or group who like to relax in a silent place away from touristic areas and you like to endeavour sicilian way of life and great food, Casale Vignazze is the place to go and stay for vacation! We have loved it!

We were a group of 5 friends and had an amazing week-end at the villa. The location is great, close to the beach. It is very quiet and the hosts were really kind and helpful!

Unexpectedly, our group of 8 people became only 2. Therefore we had the luxury of more house than we needed . It is a fabulous property. This is a historical farmhouse and you may get chance to see the restored grape treading and wine making room - ideal for a wedding ! The home is now a mix of functional modern and some original rooms tastefully restored, It has a great feel throughout and there are a selection of outdoor areas to suit different parts of the day. The feel of the house is serene. It is far enough away from things to feel peace and privacy without being isolated. The communication and help from the hostess's was exceptional. They did everything and more to ensure we had a safe welcoming arrival, and a personal handwritten guide of all places of interest in the area. Someone was always in contact if needed. The beach is about a 600 meter walk or a quick drive. Punta Secca was lovely and friendly and almost exclusively filled with Sicilian and Italian families on holiday. Our sight seeing in the area was less than a 45 minute drive to each of the 4 different places. They were all unique and special. Scicili is worth a special mention because it remains largely undiscovered by tourism. We enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Osteria tre Colli. An Italian friend helped make the booking and the description might clarify the following already, but we were under the impression that there were 4 ensuite rooms that were of equal stature. The room we stayed in was far superior to the others (the other rooms were lovely, just not equal this is not a criticism just a heads up for say four couples) We highly recommend the property, and had a wonderful stay. We would tell anyone going to this area to stay here.
