Stayed Jul 18, 2024This is a lovely, older home with a gorgeous view of the Monastery. It is a very short walk into the town (although down a very, very steep hill) where you can get coffee and fresh bread. The pool in the backyard was the perfect place to cool down in after an adventure to Nazaré (15-20 minute drive) or other Portugal sights. The house was spacious with lots of rooms for the six of us to enjoy. We especially liked having meals on the back porch with the views. It was helpful having a driveway to park our vehicle. Antique lovers will appreciate the beds and other furniture and the wall to wall tiles. One thing for folks to consider at this rental is that the toilets in two of the bathrooms face the wall so closely that you cannot sit straight on them. They are two inches from the wall. Fortunately there are two other bathrooms in two of the bedrooms with more room. The house also does not have air conditioning.
