Calliope's Villa is a beautiful property, with stunning views all around! Carmine, the property manager, was incredibly helpful and prompt to assist us in any way we asked.Forget about booking any tours of the area, boat rides, dinners, etc., on your own! Just ask for Carmine's assistance and you'll receive the best the area has to offer!What a great place to finish our 3-week visit to the beautiful country of Italy!

This was probably the nicest VRBO I have ever stayed at. Carmine was fantastic to deal with and made a lovely dinner at the villa. He arranged a visit to a local farm and went out of his way to make our experience memorable. The views are stunning. The driveway is very narrow but doable with a relatively compact car. I am grateful for the time we had with both our family of 5 and another family of 5. We had plenty of room and only wish we could stay longer.

This week was not only a family vacation, but also my wedding venue! All I can say is Grazie Mille a Carmine, who was absolutely wonderful throughout the entire week. He had no issue scheduling phone calls with me leading up to the week, discussing wedding details, and he was always available while we were staying at Villa Calliope. We had a pretty bad storm the night before the wedding, and it ended up frying a fuse, leaving us without power or AC in the upstairs part of the house. We discovered the problem around 10:30 PM, but Carmine was immediately available, talking me through troubleshooting the problem. AC was fixed almost instantly, and a repairman was out first thing the next morning to remedy the lights! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Carmine and Villa Calliope! You would be remiss to skip this stay!

This place is absolutely spectacular and exactly as described! We had to of us stay here and it was the trip of a lifetime. Carmine is fantastic, just roll with him and do what he tells you to do and you will not be disappointed! The view is spectacular, and the grounds are stunning!

We LOVED our stay! We had an incredible vacation and Carmine made it even more special. The villa is exactly as described and was full service for all the activities and amenities we needed. Can't stress enough to use Carmine to help with everything from dinners at the villa, restaurants, all our day trips, cooking classes, food/beverages at the villa, etc! He was very attentive and made sure we were having an incredible vacation. The villa is somewhat remote, but we were able to walk to the nearby village (20 min hilly walk) and it was worth the trip. The pasta shop at the bottom of the hill (La Palma Pasta All'uovo) was also a great find for daily fresh pasta if you want to cook at the villa. Afternoons in the pool gazing at the sea was also magical.We couldn't say enough great things about our stay - it was just incredible. We had 2 families and everyone said this was one of the best vacations we have ever taken! Highly recommend and make sure to use Carmine for all your plans!

Calliopes Mansion was amazing. Our group of family and friends of various ages enjoyed our stay. The views were breathtaking from every window and terrace. The house had so many areas to wander and take in the views and enjoy the perfect weather. The beautiful tiled kitchen had everything you needed for those gourmet meals. Our group enjoyed lounging by the pool taking in the sun. We were able to walk down the winding path to explore the immediate area and having the pasta shop at the bottom of the hill made the walk worth it! We had three cars and there was plenty of room for parking. While the drive up or down the road was tricky, it was manageable and we definitely had a ton of laughs and became better drivers no doubt. The local residents were very courteous sharing the road. The bedrooms were very comfortable and roomy with lots of closet space. Having bathrooms for all was a bonus. From the beautiful terracotta flooring to the artwork, Calliopes Mansion had a unique charm, that we all felt so comfortable were sad to leave. We were able to venture into all of Sorrento and the Amalfi coast. The village of Termini was close by that taking a late afternoon small boat ride on our last day was one of the best experiences! I cannot leave out Carmine! He was terrific! It was great having a meet up point and then guiding us up to the home. Thank you Carmine also for the Bocce balls and the board games! Everything went smoothly and we had a wonderful stay in Massa Lubrense!

Our time in the villa could not have been any better. We were a group of women, seniors, and this was our 1st time to the area. The scenery was breathtaking. We had day trips to Positano, Ravello, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Naples, Ischia and Capri….. some by boat, some by car. We visited a lemon farm, made limoncello, and watched the making of mozzarella.Carmine, the house manager, fixed us a good breakfast every morning and several fabulous dinner. He was very helpful with all our needs and informative about various activities. It was a fantastic vacation !

The Villa speaks for itself with its spectacular views and ample space. What we found to be the true star/bonus to this Villa is its house manager Camine. If you’re looking for someone who turns a good trip into an unforgettable vacation, with exclusive, royal like, treatment on any of his excursions, look no further. Carmine is simply the best house manager ever!! TAKE ADVANTAGE!!!

it was a wonderful experience

We were a group of 9 friends who came to the Amalfi Coast to explore and enjoy. Calliopi Mansion did not disappoint! It is very nice Italian property (not a modern unauthentic place) with plenty of space and amenities. There were numerous patios, a great (very clean) swimming pool looking out over the sea, and plenty of dining space. We took advantage of Carmine, the property manager's, expertise and it was well worth it. Carmine arranged transportation to and from airport, boat rides to Amalfi and Capri, a cooking class, transportation to Ravello and a local winery, guides in Pompeii and Herculaneum, transportation to Sorrento to dine/shop and some in villa cooked meals. ALL of this went off without a hitch. He was very accommodating and his choice of drivers, guides and boat skipper were fantasic. We enjoyed it all. As stated in other reviews, the property is remote. It is not in the center of a town and has a long drive up to access. With that said, you cannot beat the quiet and views of this place. However, you should plan to use Carmine to schedule all of your activities or you will most likely run into issues and walking up and down a long and quite narrow drive to reach transportation services that aren't willing to go up the drive. Would not recommend this. Also, when you arrive, Carmine arranges cars to take up your luggage and you to the villa. So highly recommend this villa, but make your visit perfect by using Carmines services. Maid service daily.
