Stayed Aug 20, 2020Short version: Enjoyable stay in authentic Venetian style apartment. Prime location in very quite street. Large flat with all equipments. Spacious to feel a rel difference to most flats offered in Venice. 4 adults with 1 kid fitted perfectly. Roberto is a real Venetian gentleman. Was very helpful from the first contact to the last day. We would definitely recomment Ca'Bernardo! Long version: Murano is always our choice when staying in the Venice area for its quietness. And Ca'Bernardo offers the ultimate quietness even though it is located just a few steps from one of the most liviest square of the island. The apartment is located literally 1,5 minutes walk from the vaporetto stop Venier. The supermarket is 3 minutes walk and one of the best gelaterias o fall Venice is on your daily walk to the vaporetti stations or the Murano glass center. Talking of which: one of the reasons why Murano is so cool is that main Venice island tourists, day tourists usually need to transit through Venice to catch a vaporetto to Murano. As a consequence, the mass tourism starts on Murano only at about 10 or 11am and ends when the masses leave for the night, as early as 17:00 or 18:00. Perfect. The apartment is fully equipped with all you might need for a few days' stay. While I was, at the first glance, a bit suspicious that all looked a bit oldish, I was surprised to find the bed particularly comfortable. The furniture is, yes, not the newest, but this really made up the charm of the apartment. This is a AUTHENTIC place where Venitian/Murano people lived, and this makes for a unique experience, unlike in most modernly furnished hotels or other locations. I was so impressed by the (marble?) tiles everywhere on the floor. They are so elegant, stylish and.... refreshingly cold. The shower cabin, while not too small, is not the biggest but the bathroom has all you need and you can easily use it two persons at the time. My wife and sister in law even used it together with our niece. Just mentioning this as for families, the usage of the bathroom for more one person at the time might be practical for families. Roberto helped with tipps to travel, parking in Venice, directions etc. A true gentleman. Check in process a bit cumbersome, maybe due to Corona regulations? Take NOTE that the GARDEN, a main highlight of the flat, is not as nice as on the pictures. But it is still an exclusive feature for Venice (drying clothes, dinner). AND THE FIG TREE! A DELIGHT!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A superbly equipped and very comfortable apartment tucked in a quiet street moments away from Murano's Fondamenta Venier. A five-minute walk to the vaporetto stop and a ten minute ride to the Fondamente Nove means that the sights of Venice are within easy reach but the crowds can be left behind in the evening. The apartment has absolutely everything needed to prepare a meal in and there are excellent restaurants on Murano (at a fraction of the price of a meal in Venice itself) if you want to eat out. Roberto was a genial and helpful host, never intrusive but always available to help if needed. This was one of the very best self-catering apartments we've had in years of travelling. I would happily recommend this apartment to anyone and already have.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I love Murano, the people are warm and welcoming and the villa was top notch. Roberto was kind and helpful and schooled us on how to use this villa. There was beautiful hand blown glass in each room that his father created and there are pictures about the glass blowing traditions on this island all of this made the the experience for us all the more exciting. Roberto has built a room out back where you dry your clothes and I can say that our clothes dried faster here than anywhere on our whole trip. The Kitchen and the bathroom were roomy and up to date. When I come back I will stay here again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Roberto was a wonderful host and the facility is big and fabulous. Very accessible and close to Venice by vaporetto. Good access to the airport. Much slower pace and less stress than Venice. Murano is charming and less touristy.
