BEAUTIFUL VILLA WITH PRIVATE SWIMMING POOL AND OUTSIDE BARBICUE NEAR MAKARSKA

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house in a charming Croatian village. The property is spacious both indoors and outdoors, with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday. The swimming pool is large and perfect for enjoying the breathtaking views that surround the house. The location is peaceful and quiet, yet only around 30 minutes from the lively Makarska Riviera. The hosts were extremely welcoming, always quick to respond and very easy to communicate with, which made our stay even more enjoyable.Marijana has been very helpful with any questions we had and suggestions for places to go and see. And we had an amazing opportunity to taste her lovely husband' s homemade wines.We highly recommend this place for everyone who wants to experience peaceful holidays yet not far from the fantastic Croatian beaches and towns.Gosia

This house is tucked away nicely in the hills of Zmijavci with incredible views through the valley, roughly about 1h20 drive from Split and the airport.The house is well-presented and everything is as described and works as it should.The pool is not heated but is the perfect temperature in the summer. It's also highly recommended for babies/toddlers as the steps area leading into the pool is like a mini-pool suitable for non-swimming children.Location wise, there are some nice small places to get food and drink in Zmijavci but there are some more up market places nearby in Imotski.Marijana as a host was incredible helpful and accommodating, buying us groceries for the first couple of days as we arrived late on Saturday and Sunday was a public holiday. She even provided us with a screwdriver set when we were trying to put batteries into one of the kids toys! She was very quick to respond to any query I sent to her.Overall, this is the perfect villa for a Croatian get away, we hardly left the villa other than to eat because we enjoyed it so much. The pictures do not do the villa justice, the private grounds and gardens are beautiful surrounding a large swimming pool which has lighting around the garden and mood changing pool lighting which made evening swimming a must. Inside the villa is roomy with lots of charming character and well equipped with everything we needed, there is also a hidden snug below the garage which was cool and comfortable and a great escape. 2 of the bedrooms had air conditioning which was much needed as the weather was late 30s. The other bedrooms all had fans. The hosts were wonderful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them and only a call away if we needed anything. They provided lots of local information and places of interest that helped us on our stay, with added bonus of homemade wine and beers left in the fridge on our arrival. The hosts even provided some pool inflatables which meant the kids could jump straight in and enjoy the pool shortly after we arrived. The villa definitely had the wow factor and made our wonderful memories for our family. We chose the villa as it was located between Split and Dubrovnik with easy access to Imotski which had good local amenities and the Blue Lake. Highly recommend this villa and hosts.

Fantastic villa! Very spacious, we were a group of seven and plenty of room for all. Amenities were brilliant, anything you could think you need is provided for. The hosts are very welcoming and eager to make the stay as fun as possible and they did. They took great care of us and made some great recommendations on where to go and what to do. Cannot wait to get back. Highly recommended!!!

This is a spacious, extremely well-equipped villa with a fantastic pool. The hosts were friendly and attentive and made the stay perfect. Two big bedrooms with air-conditioning and two smaller bedrooms with fans. Bathrooms on every level.A games room with table tennis and fussball! A trampolines! You need a car to stay here and there's plenty of on-site parking. Two nearby supermarkets (ten-minute drive) are Lidl (the same as you'd find anywhere) and the Konzum (much better, and with everything you'll need). A good base for exploring and relaxing. Recommended.

Marijana’s place was amazing! We shared it between two families of four. There was ample space for everyone to spread out and plenty of sleeping spaces for everyone. The setting was very quiet, and we loved having access to the pool. But we also used the ping pong and foosball tables a lot. Marijana had some excellent recommendations for local restaurants and a few activities. Everything about the place was great, and the couple of times we needed something, the hosts were extremely responsive. Communication was excellent at all times. And the kitchen was really well stocked -- we had no problem preparing and eating several meals here (and we loved using the barbecue as well). We’d definitely recommend this place and would stay here again if we were in the area.

We had a great holiday. The house was beautiful and very clean. The outdoor area was well kept and the pool was big. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful.

The House is very practical and quite confortable for 8 people. Calm neighborhood. 45 minutes from Makarska/the sea and from Biokovo national park. Marijana was a nice host, very easy to communicate with.

I cant say enough how fantastic marijana and mladen are, we didnt just want a holiday home we wanted a time to remember as we got married while we was away, they helped us with everything, they even found our wedding venue for us and helped us get exactly what we wanted, there home is beautiful! We wanted something we got it, we wanted to go somewhere they got us there , we arrived late and as nothing was open they had put a food platter and cold drinks in the fridge for us, the attention to detail is fantastic, the hospitality is second to none, me and my family have had the most amazing two weeks away and cannot thank them enough, highly reccomend villa marijana to anyone who wants a nice relaxing holiday. The locals are so welcoming and friendly, the local restaurant was so sweet, amazing service and the food is beautiful. If I could give marijana and mladen 10 stars I would.

The villa is exactly as described and was sparkling clean. It was very hot at times during our stay and we could have done with air conditioning in the main living area at times, however I think more air con could be going in as wiring was in place for it. Take some insect repellent as come evening the mosquitoes really get going. There is a small shop within walking distance, but you do really need to get in the car to eat out and parking can sometimes be tricky to find in busy tourist spots. We had four teenagers with us and they loved the villa and we spent a couple of days in Omis doing the amazing zip wiring and the white water rafting which kept them happy. We also visited the Blue lake twice as it is only 10 mins away and was a fantastic experience climbing down and swimming in the lake. Croatia is a beautiful country with an amazing coastline, and this villa is a fabulous base to explore from.
