Avondale, close to the beach, ideal for families

The property was exactly as described. The pool was lovely and we were able to go to two beaches fairly close. Ther was some noise from close neighbours-childrenthrowing basket balls at weekend but during the weekdays it was quiet. Guests should be advised to bring their own beach towels and toiletries. It would be preferable to have more than one bath towel per person as our stay was for 5days. We checked out on time and was at the office by 10.05am but no one was in attendance so the keys were put on the key box.

We had an excellent holiday at Villa Avondale. It was just what we were looking for, a nice modern, well presented villa with a lovely private pool close to the beach. The beach is stunning, a lovely cove with golden sand and shallow waters. We were very happy to arrive to the villa and find it very clean, and with a few essential items. The whole family enjoyed our stay, we enjoyed the villa, and the area, and the service we received from Familyvillarentals.com. We would like to come back again and spend more than a week this time to see more of the area.

Villa Avondale had everything my wife and I, and the children could imagine and much more. We made the long trip all of the way from Washington DC (USA) and it was worth every cent after the very long flight. The villa is in amazing shape and has everything you need. The management company were very helpful, and even managed to check us in early, which was fantastic since we had been travelling for over 24hours. They were very informative about the local area and the villa facilities. They were available for anything we needed and questions we had throughout our stay. The location is great and very close to the local beach only 10 minutes away by foot. And we enjoyed the port town L'Ametlla Del Mar, and also found it an easy drive to major cities like Tarragona and Barcelona. We rarely return to the same place, but this area of Spain has so much to offer, and so much we didn’t have time to see, we didn’t even get to the theme park Portaventura, so we have booked again, see you next year!

The villa although very nice & well equipped, could not be classed as 3 double bedrooms, the third bedroom is very small with only a drawer unit for storage, the double bed is against the wall in order that the door can be opened. On arrival at the office for check in, we had to queue outside for 30 mins under a small roof overhang, not an ideal arrangement on a very hot August afternoon. Then another wait for someone to take us to the villa to just open the door, not giving us any information regarding the property, we were there 2 days before we found the Utility Room at the back of the villa. It was not possible to use the TV as there wasn't a signal. The walk to the beach is nearer 20mins, along a road that leads through a tunnel, which is quite hazardous especially with young children, as there isn't a pavement.

We highly recommend Villa Avondale. We when arrived the villa was very clean and fresh smelling. The villa is furnished well and with modern well maintained fixtures and fittings. The garden and pool were lovely and peaceful, and the beach nearby was lovely too, even in July it wasn’t overcrowded, we liked the beach bar and enjoyed snacks and drinks while the children played in the clear shallow waters. We found the service provided excellent.

We were 2 families with 7 people in total, we spent the most enjoyable week in this villa in the quiet surroundings and close to the gorgeous beach. The villa has every amenity you could ask for, and is very comfortable. The swimming pool was the centre of attention for the kids, and the beach nearby made it ideal for us. The views from the roof terrace were to die for, the perfect place to chill outside with a glass of wine. There were plenty of good restaurants in L’Ametlla de Mar & one within 15 mins walking distance of the villa. The beach is very good for kids, & pedalos with slide was a lot of fun. Aquapolis was well worth a visit. Finally I can't thank Family Villas enough for their service, communication, helpful advice & knowledge of the area. We are already looking forward to our return in 2015.

This was our first holiday abroad with our family I felt I wanted to talk to someone regarding our visit. The web page was very informative and the pictures looked great. I emailed to ask for some more information about the Avondale villa. This was replied to very quickly. I then spoke to Sara and she put all my worries to bed. We booked the Villa and during the weeks leading up to our holiday, I had many questions and all were answered promptly with lots of information. We arrived at the office (after following lovely clear directions from Reus airport) where we were then shown our villa. WOW!! were the words used by us all! We were blown away by the cleanliness, location and size of the villa. With 3 children lots of space was needed and Avondale certainly gave us this. The pool was fantastic and many hours were spent enjoying this. The walk to the beach and the restaurants were 10 minutes as stated. The villa location felt very safe and the beaches nearby were beautiful. It was reassuring to know that Sara and Martin were on the end of the phone for any questions which needed answering. I can highly recommend them to book your holiday with for their professionalism and care. Our first abroad holiday went fantastic and most definately was helped through the delightfullness of the villa. I shall be using them again in the future. Many thanks, the Norman family xx

Thank you for helping us to have a wonderful, family holiday. The villa was excellent, cool, beautifully clean and well equipped. We enjoyed our time relaxing by the pool and we appreciated the villa's convenient location and easy access to Port Aventura (our teenagers loved it!) and other lovely places to visit. The family villas staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Can we come and stay again please?

We would highly recommend this villa if you are staying in this area. Lovely clean & tidy, furnished to a high standard. Lovely quiet area for a chilling holiday although there are several beaches 10 mins away and a lovely fishing villiage about 10 mins by car. Sarah & Martin provided an excellent service and are on hand if you require anything. Would certainly look at booking with them again. Jayne
