If you’re after a spacious white square box you might want to look elsewhere. But if you’re in the mood for a unique experience, a touch of quirkiness, peace, and breathtaking views, this is the place for you.We had an absolutely wonderful week here with our two daughters, a holiday we’ll never forget. We’re big campers, so this place, which is like very fancy glamping, was exactly what we were looking for. There’s an outside shower, an outside kitchen, a small second bedroom on the first floor, but a showstopper master bedroom in the top of the windmill with panoramic views of the sea and mountains. It also has an open terrace with a spacious pool overlooking the turquoise seas.Zafiris and Dina, who speak excellent English, were wonderful. They have owned the land and windmill for generations and have recently turned it into this lovely villa, in a style that pays homage to its roots. They were more than happy to answer our questions and give us tips on local places to eat and visit, as well as names of local hire companies, and so on. Due to its location at the top of the island near the Blue Caves, you’ll need your own transportation. The small local harbour and beach of Agios Nikolaos has a supermarket, a variety of restaurants, a petrol station, and many boat hire companies. There’s also a charming pebble beach with turquoise seas that never seem to get too crowded, even in August. We really struck gold with this find, so clean and beautiful, with the best hosts.

The windmill was amazing! Private, quiet and very cozy. We came during a storm and it just made it so much more intimate, would definitely recommend.

Dina and her husband are the most delightful and responsive hosts I have ever encountered. Their kindness is unusual in this rental business. The place is amazing and so fun. It’s so easy to go to town and have lovely meals. I love this part of Zakynthos because it’s quieter with amazing mountains and easy to get to the shipwreck view point where you must not miss! Please stay at this gorgeous windmill and witness the sunrise and stars at night without light pollution! We absolutely LOVED this place! My husband loved it so much that he didn’t want to leave the property except for food!

The unique location of the windmill offers a great view around the east coast of the island. The accomodation succeeds through the original and good restoration of the mill. The bedroom on the upper floor is unbeatable with regard to the fantastic panoramic view. The kitchen with a large seating accomodation and a shower outside are practical and pleasant to use. The transaction was very friendly, responsive and unsophisticated. Many thanks once again!
