This property is fantastic. The kitchen is fully equipped to take advantage of all the good food that is available in the region. We had wonderful meals on the terrace overlooking the town and the sea. The little town has bakeries, butchers, cafes and a small supermarket, all reachable by foot. But the best of all is Agata, the owner, who welcomed us to the property with warm Arancinis and provisions for our first breakfast. It truly feels like staying in your friends’ very elegant Country house. One member of our party left a valuable piece of jewelry behind, and Agata went out of her way to make sure that it was safely shipped to the US. We would give 10 stars if we could.

Staying at Agata‘s house is wonderful. It‘s even better than on the pictures. The garden is huge and the house is full of personal little details which makes it easy to feel „home“. If we would come to Sicily again, we would choose again Agata‘s house and would stay longer (4 nights).

Our family recently traveled to Catanzaro to see where my husband’s grandfather had lived prior to coming to the US. There were eight in our group. We visited Sicily after our visit in Italy. Agata is a wonderful hostess and met us upon our arrival. She had a light meal waiting that was perfect after our days travel from Catanzaro to Piedemonte Etna. She had provided helpful info ahead of our travel on which carrier to use for bringing our cars across on the Ferry. Her family home is so beautiful and we are thankful she is allowing others to experience this beautiful estate. Ciaio Agata and molto Grazies for all of your help.

Exceptional hospitality, stunning vistas, and beautiful gardens are just a foretaste of the feast that is Agatha’s home. The visit was so wonderful that we have promised to return again and again. Next time we will fill the home with our families.

We spent almost two weeks at this charming property. It has so much space around for our kids to run and explore. The surrounding gardens are not only beautiful but had lots of juicy citrus fruit which Agata was happy for us to pick and eat. We spent every morning having long leisurely breakfasts outside admiring the amazing views of the local town and beyond. The view really is exceptional. You really do not tire of that view and with the morning sun hitting the breakfast table it immediately became our first thing we do - put the coffee on and go outside to soak up the sun. The kitchen (as many others have said) is so well stocked and we made most of our meals whilst there. On arrival Agata surprised us with a lovely spread of local foods which was just the thing we needed after our long journey. The local town is small but perfectly formed. It has everything you need: an amazing butcher, fish shop and a few other speciality food shops, top quality cafe with fresh biscuits and premium gelato was also a highlight (and kids' favourite). There is a more regular shop too. All of this only a short stroll away, we didn't even use the car (but you can if you want to, there were plentt of parking options). The town really has everything you need (including a shop where we bought a crochet hook, as you do...) but is also conveniently located to explore the surrounding area. Taormina and various beaches are only a short drive away and a drive to the airport was just 40min or so on mostly easy big roads (though remember this is a mountainous area so the roads closer to town are inevitably smaller). Agata was an amazing host. She was so helpful and was always only a message away. Her knowledge of the local area was super useful and she suggested various interesting events for the Easter weekend we were visiting and let's not forget her restaurant recommendations (there is a Micheline star restaurant only 10min from the villa which we enjoyed immensely).

We had a wonderful couple of weeks visiting Sicily. We stayed here as a base and enjoyed the house very much. Agata was very responsive and helpful. Certainly the beautiful estate help set the tone of our visit. All good!

This property is even better than the excellent reviews that it receives. A base for the family of 2 adults and 2 children, it could host bigger parties comfortably. It is ideally located to visit the attractions of Eastern Sicily, from Taormina through Etna and down to Siracusa. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Agata helped us to find it, provided a thorough intro to the property and its amenities, and also made us a delicious welcome supper. It is very easy to recommend it to other potential guests!

Agata is a wonderful and generous host. She prepared us homemade snacks upon our arrival! This property is so charming and full of character. The garden is out of this world and the view over looking the sea is magnificent. I found much peace and tranquillity just strolling around this huge but well kept garden. Interior of the house is very cozy and functional. Agata provided everything we needed during the stay. It is truly a special experience staying at this place. Thank you Agata! Diana

We had a great stay at Agata's castle at the foot of Mt. Etna! There were five of us (three women, me, one toddler) and we were all very comfortable. That view of the small town of Piedimonte Etneo right on down to the sea, from the grassy area, in front of gigantic doors and arches, will be etched in my memory for a long time to come. As the sun went down, we sat outside and ran all over the place! Once it was dark, we came inside, drank wine, and danced to Edoardo Bennato and Blues Brothers records! It was a fun filled, peaceful stay and provided us with easy access to Taormina, Catania, Mt. Etna, and Etna wineries. Agata is a great host!

The house is set in a huge beautiful park, which makes you feel calm as soon as you enter the gate to the property. The pathway up to the house leads you through gorgeous citrus threes, all kind of colourful flowers and beautiful views. The kids loved exploring the surrounding park with us. Furthermore, there is a fenced garden, with direct access from the house and terrace, featuring the most amazing views of the sea and the small village of Piedimonte. It was so relaxing enjoying the sun and view while the kids could play safely in the garden. The village of Piedmonte is walking distance (10-15 min), authentic and offers everything you need such as butcher, supermarket (with a good cheese/meat counter), bakery (with delicious ice-cream and cakes) and a few restaurants/cafes. Finally, the house is well situated to reach sights such as Etna, Taormina, wineries etc. The house itself is everything you would expect from an authentic Sicilian property; history, charm and uniquely decorated so that you actually feel that it is a home. We stayed for 4 days and continued to discover small charming details and beautiful décor in the house. There was even toys for the kids, which they loved. The cosy living room has a great view with direct access to the front garden, the dinning room is fitting 8 people and the fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking your own meals. Bedrooms are comfortable, spacious and a very nice temperature. The bathrooms nice, clean, with a good water pressure and enough hot water. On top of this unique house and surroundings, Agata was an amazing host. From the first contact to the farewell, we really felt secure and fully taken care of. We arrived late, which meant that we were at the property around 23:00. Agata and her husband greeted us at the property with pizza, wine and cake and the fridge stocked for breakfast, which was such a nice gesture, arriving late with two small kids (and four hungry adults:-)). They also took the time to show us the village to make sure we were all set before they left. The whole vibe of the house and Agata as the warm host makes you feel comfortable, relaxed and home immediately – we could not have wished for more. Even our kids did not want to leave after the 4 days:-) So do not hesitate, book – you will not regret it!
