This darling two bedroom get away has a lovely ocean view, and it's just a quick walk down to the beach! It's a quick drive to the LB Museum of Art, the LB Aquarium, the Laugh Factory, dinning and shopping.
Beautiful ocean view from front windows. Nice bedrooms and bathrooms and kitchen. Couch and futon not that comfortable in the living room. Nice balcony off back bedroom. Great location. Only issue was with parking spots--we were assigned a tandem spot outside, which was fine, but when we wanted to check in and move our stuff in, someone was in the spot. Had to call property manager and then wait for her to resolve the issue. The next day we came back--someone again in the spot--managed to find the owner of the vehicle in one of the other rentals and they did move their vehicle--but that was still kind of a pain to have to deal with.
Rented the house for a birthday celebration. It did not disappoint, with its beautiful views and central Long Beach location.
We had an amazing stay in Long Beach. The local hospitality was so amazing and welcoming! I can’t wait to come back!
I choose this place particularly for the nice fluffy bedding shown in the pictures. The thin quilt we received was less than par. The furniture isn’t the same as pictured and very worn out and used. I tried to work with the listening agent for a discount but she was unwilling to give a discount for misrepresentation. What you see is not what you get.
Overall we enjoyed the stay, was not aware of the unit being upstairs and had my 16 month with me. I was aware I needed to wash and put away dishes but waited to run dishwasher til night before checkout and it didn't work. Ended up staying up late washing all by hand.
Lovely two bedroom place to spend a beach vaca! No a/c, but other than that I think this place is PERFECTION.
Susan was quick to respond, had a 1 car garage for parking, and beautiful views.
I wish I read all the bad reviews on this place prior to booking. I’d have rather burned my money than stay in this place. The host of this property has been the worst nightmare I have ever had to deal with. The person is not the same on the photo. The property is a bait and switch situation (read other reviews) he/she just baits people into paying and then ghosts. I spent two hours outside her address with her telling me she is a real estate agent and wanting my personal information. The treatment is below poor, its degrading. The place looks old, rusty, muddy and moldy from water leakage and proximity to the ocean I give kudos to the photographer of the place made it look awesome when in reality its subpar. The neighborhood is unsafe if you have children. Run away, and run away far. Trust and safety had to intervene in the reservation, police were almost contacted because host is using aggravating and threatening language. When you go in the apartment the owner has 2 pages of threats basically any reason she can milk you further by abusing the expensive deposit she keeps, she expects you to clean and tidy up after you otherwise she wont return the expensive deposit. You pay an extraordinarily high price for cleaning and she still expects you to do the work for her or still she’d overreach and take the deposits. I couldn’t stay more than a couple hours at the place it was a horrible experience. Finaly note this is not one apartment this is one apartment divided into three apartments, the host is just milking guests with expectations that are not close to reality once you check in you’ll be be truly disappointed. The dealing with the host was carried with a lot of bad faith. The property is simply horrible. I feel robbed.
I brought my teenage daughters for 3 days in April and we really enjoyed ourselves. I would stay her again for sure! Here are some things that future travelers may find useful: What I loved about the place: Location and View Nicely decorated Back deck with great little patio set to hang out on Designated parking spot Came with coffee filters Susan and her husband are so friendly and helpful What you Should know: The garages are very small, my Subaru Ascent barely fit and it wasn't worth the effort trying to park in the garage. The place is on a busy street, so there is traffic noise. There are no window coverings on the big, front windows that face the street. The place is very old, and the floors are creaky and you can hear other tenants (I think it has 3 units total). One night of our stay the downstairs had kids running around all night and you could hear everything! My teenagers were pissed that these kids kept them up all night! The walkway from the alley to the unit is uneven concrete. The kitchen has plenty of cups, glasses, dishes, etc., but super random unmatched sets (except for the plates) The frying pans are in terrible shape and need replacing. The towels are mismatched and not in great condition and could use replacing soon (my dog towels at home are softer) The dishwasher is not screwed into its counter space, so when you try to shut the door to run the dishwasher, it is very hard to get the dishwasher door to shut completely because the whole appliance moves. Like I said above, I would definitely stay here again, but these are the details I thought I would share with future travelers. While we were there, Susan's husband was working on the back fence and yard the whole time. He was super friendly and helpful. The yard, however, was a mess! There was mud on the walkway and landscape bricks being installed that you had to walk over. The new sod had caution tape around it. (It is going to look great once it is finished!). The first night we were there, the bathroom sink wouldn't drain, but it was fixed the next day. The toilet also doesn't always flush. The frying pans had most of the teflon scratched off and were unusable. I texted a photo to Susan and she took a different pan from a unit for us to use. We also wanted a blender, so she got one from another unit for us to use. And, after we checked out, my old daughter remembered that she left some clothes in the dresser. Susan mailed these back to us. Hope this helps!
