-Lake Hartwell is a 55,000 acre impoundment with 980 miles of shoreline. Great for sailing, boating, fishing, or just plain relaxing and gazing over the tranquil waters.
-In February 2008 and again in February 2015 Lake Hartwell was the site of the $1.200,000 B.A.S.S. BASSMASTER’s CLASSIC known as the “super bowl” of Bass Fishing tournaments.
-Striper/Hybrid fishing is excellent and has caused quite a stir at Lake Hartwell. It can be very exciting when large schools begin to feed on the surface. Several guide services are available.
-Recreation Areas offering designated beach/swim areas such as Singing Pines, Hartwell Dam, Big Oaks, and Watsadlers are only minutes away.
-Hartwell Dam & Visitor Center offers brochures, maps, displays, and information about Hartwell Lake, including tours of the Army Corps of engineers’ hydro electrical operations.
-Hartwell Dam Walking Trail begins beside the visitor center and is an extraordinarily scenic paved and handicap accessible 1.37-mile trail following the shoreline up to the concrete portion of Hartwell Dam. Fantistic views for a morning or evening walk or run.
-Surprisingly there is designated stocked Trout Water in the tail race below Hartwell Dam.

Very quiet and peaceful area, we were happy to discover we could walk for several miles within the state park just down the road. Beautiful area and the apartment was more than adequate. A bit outdated and needs some new carpet but very functional and you can tell the owners love the place! Had everything we needed.
Perfect for our needs. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Home is very clean and as described.
We had such a nice getaway at the villa. Coffee on the back porch overlooking the lake and the relaxing atmosphere was perfect. Dave’s suggestions helped us navigate the area and quickly find things that we were looking for!
Old beds, but nice place close to water
Just what a tired teacher needed
Beautiful location. Enjoyed my morning coffee sitting on the back patio. Quiet neighborhood Cant wait to go back!
Very quiet nice location. Lake Hartwell does not have a lot going on itself so best if you have a boat/kayak/canoe. fishing gear to take advantage of the lake, which is very nice. Other than these activities, you are on your own.
Great time wonderful relaxing view of lake.
The property was as described. And the kitchen well supplied. Bed linens old and faded but clean. No blankets, except the bed spread. Very thin, cheap toilet paper. The condo is a bit remote. 12 miles round trip to a grocery store. Frankly not enough to do in the area at this time of year, and we went everywhere. Not a place for fly fishermen. Who need small rivers and streams. Told go to GA or NC 4 fly fishing. At the end of our stay we walked into squishy wet carpeting in the dinning area. Called the owner who asked we turn off the water to the house, which we did , and left a day early. We will come back to SC next year but not here.
Enjoy our stay every year. Love the villia and location.
We stayed here in January and it was wonderful, great location right near the State Park and right on the lake.
We participated in a tournament which was held out of Green Pond Landing. The location of the unit was perfect for us as it allowed us easy access to the part of the Lake we wanted to practice and ultimately fish. The owner is super nice and helpful. Can't wait to go back.
Cute lakeside bungalow! Exactly as advertised!
Host was awesome and place was great for a group of four! Highly recommend.
We had a very nice stay. The Villa was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.
Great spot for what we needed
Great location - nice, quiet cove to enjoy some lake time. Villa was well stocked and communication with owners was easy. Everything was as described. Would definitely book again.
The property and pictures listed were exactly as described and pictured. The view of the lake from the sliding glass door was so tranquil and peaceful. The sunsets were amazing! The villa was decorated so unique with fishing theme! Everything we needed was already stocked and supplied. The manager was always a phone call or message away when/if needed. A home away from home! Wonderful experience and hope to stay again! Memories made!
My husband and I had a wonderful time staying here for an anniversary trip! Very quiet and relaxing area! We stayed at the end of June and basically had the lake to ourselves which was surprising! It was the best!
This was a very nice VRBO! We we able to relax and enjoy the area. Close to nice walking at the state park. The villa was equipped with everything we needed.
The villa on Hartwell was a perfect place to spend a relaxing weekend with my family. The view from the porch was beautiful.
We enjoyed the view of Hartwell Lake and watching the geese that visited the area several times a day.
This property is wonderful. I had one complaint, I didn't book it longer. Great check in, wonderful stay. Will do it again for sure if available.
This property is great for a fishing trip. The landing is super close and plenty of boat parking. The Villa is as described. Sitting on the deck looking at the water is super relaxing. We will be staying again.....
