Stayed Oct 3, 2024The McClure family goes out of their way with communication to make you feel at ease and confident while staying. The place is clean, and the stars are amazing from the porch on the side of the yurt. If you ever want to stay in a yurt (as we did) this does not disappoint. Just make sure they have coffee as we missed out on that feature.

Stayed Sep 21, 2025What a delightful stay! The yurt was cozy, well-equipped, and stargazing from the top bunk was magical. Craig and his family were communicative, friendly and made sure we were all set for our short stay. You can hear cows and ducks at night — charming to me, slightly less so to my light-sleeping husband. Still, we’d come back in a heartbeat and happily recommend the Scrappy Duck Farm. It's nearby Fenceline Cider in town and a short drive to Mesa Verde (we could even see the yurt using binoculars from the peak). Guess it’s official… we’re yurt people now!

Stayed Sep 4, 2025We had a great time at the yurt!! It was cozy, clean, and comfortable. Best beds ever! Tucked away out of the fray, it was a great opportunity to disconnect from the digital world. Totally recommend this little gem!!

Stayed Aug 28, 2025Travelled to SW Colorado for the Four Corners Motorcycle Rally with a Group of 5 adults. Fantastic spot for a nice quiet getaway, with all the amenities one could wish for. Amazing use of space within the yurt with a surprising amount of social space and plenty of room in sleeping quarters. Kitchen was fully equipped and we put the Blackstone on the patio to use, as well. Fantastic views towards Mesa Verde with spectacular sunsets. Great motorcycle riding in pretty much any direction, beware the driveway and gravel road can be a bit of a challenge, but completely workable if careful. May be pretty tricky if the weather is bad, luckily we did not have weather concerns during our stay.

Stayed May 23, 2025We loved this property! The location was so beautiful and peaceful we didn’t want to leave. The yurt itself was very clean and organized and had everything we needed to make meals and stay warm and cozy at night. Sitting out on the deck watching the ducks, listening to the birds, and watching the sunset was soul refreshing. We’d definitely stay here again if in the area! Love the yurt at Scrappy Duck Farm!!

Stayed Sep 24, 2024After looking about for accommodation near Mesa Verde, we happened across the yurt at Scrappy Duck Farm. We had never even been inside a yurt before, and as the cost was comparable to or better than a standard fare hotel, we decided to give it a go. The moment we walked into the yurt we knew we’d made the right choice! It was clean and bright and filled with natural light. The furnishings, appliances and kitchen supplies were clearly carefully chosen to fit in with the overall style of the yurt. We arrived in late afternoon….just enough time to unpack and make some coffee (provided) and sit out on the deck to enjoy the setting sun. Mancos is a lovely little town with a small but perfectly adequate grocery, nice shops and restaurants and very friendly people. I’m happy to recommend the Scrappy Duck Farm yurt to anyone seeking a one of a kind accommodation handy to Mesa Verde and southwest Colorado

Stayed Sep 6, 2024We loved staying in the yurt at the Scrappy Duck Farm! There was plenty of room for our family of six. I was a little worried about that with four boys but there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The space was adorable as well as very clean and well stocked. Plenty of towels and extra blankets. The yurt was very easy to find and the owners were very friendly and helpful. They truly thought of everything to make you feel like a special guest. There was just a sliver of a moon the nights we were there and we were able to see the Milky Way. Our visit to Mesa Verde was just the getaway we needed. Staying at this yurt with our family made it just perfect.

Stayed Jul 6, 2024The yurt was clean and amazing. Is everything you could want for a stay exploring Mesa Verde. The layout was great for our two kids and my mom. Everyone had a little bit of privacy at night, and we got to spend time together in the living room and kitchen during the day. There is a bubble on the ceiling up in the master bedroom and the stars at night were stunning. The backdrop of the duck farm was great, and the views were fantastic. There was tons of room for my kids to throw a baseball (outside) at the end of the day. Mancos is a cute town with several options for dining. If you’re visiting Mesa Verde or spending time in Mancos, this is your place!

Stayed Jun 3, 2024It was Mesa Verde that brought us to the area, and the view of the mesa from the yurt can't be beat! The yurt was clean and comfy with every amenity we wanted. We joked that it was like a Harry Potter tent- looks smaller from the outside, but there was plenty of room when we got in for all 6 of our adults/teens. When we did need to contact the owners, they were very responsive and helpful. Truly a lovely place to stay.
