YOUR PERFECT SUMMER GETAWAY BY MADAKET BEACH !!

This cottage is exactly as advertised. It has all you need to enjoy a Madaket stay. Love that the Wave bus stop is right out front - super convenient if you dont have a car.

House location was great and it was very clean. We appreciated the number of beach towels and chairs, short distance to the beach, and the WAVE stop was right outside the house. Our only comment is that the bottom common area felt a little crowded but overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Yard is beautiful and grill was nice. House is by bus stop but bus is often overcrowded. Walk to beach is easy enough depending upon age and fitness level. My 82 mother in law who is very able found it challenging. House is extremely cluttered and linens are old and very worn. Tons of cleaning products are stuffed under all sinks. Dishes, pots, and pans are a disorganized mess. Linen closets are jam packed and towels smell awful. Spider webs are growing on the bottom shelves of linen closet. Drawers in bathroom are not clean. No counter space in kitchen. Nothing felt very clean. The house needs to be emptied out of everything not necessary, which is a ton of stuff. We would rather spend more to not live with the disaster of stuff jam packed everywhere.

The owner was super communicative and went the extra mile when I forgot something at the house. She alone is reason to rent. The home is walking distance to Madaket beach, right on the WAVE bus stop and while on the main road, secluded and quiet. The home is comfortable with two living spaces. We had a wonderful stay.

Perfect house for our family getaway on Nantucket! House is very well kept, comfy beds and has 2 cozy living rooms, perfect for our family with kids. Madaket Beach is walking distance or short bike ride away.... which means one of the BEST places to eat is also a short stroll away (Millie's)! If venturing out to different parts of the island like Sankaty Lighthouse and east side nearby village shops or even Cisco Beach for surfing, then I think a car is needed on Nantucket, if staying a week or more, especially with kids. The 'Wave' shuttle stops in front of house which is also convenient although we didn't use it. The house also has plenty of comfy lawn chairs and lounge chaises for relaxing in yard. Lots of great things about this house!Mary made our stay easy and simple with instructions and access. We'll stay here again for sure! -Macs
