Your Home Away from Home in Beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine

We had a great stay and it was the perfect location for us. We loved the shopping, restaurants, Atlantic brewing co. And walking along the water. Easy access to everything and 10-20 min drives to Acadia and northeast harbor. It was wonderful.

The house was in the perfect location and having a driveway to park in instead of parking in town saved so much time. It was clean and the small fenced yard was a plus while traveling with our dog.

Great location! Restaurants, stores, and the harbor were all walkable. Short drive into the park for hiking. This was our first visit to Bar Harbor and this was an ideal location for home base. I would recommend highly. The host was responsive with a few questions we had. It was easy, enjoyable and relaxing.

We were one block over from the shops and restaurants. Location was perfect. We never worried about parking and it wasn’t noisy with the location being close to every thing. Acadia park was close for touring.

This is our second stay at this location. The location within town is unbeatable and everything was as described. The property was clean and nothing was broken, but the kitchen and bathrooms are a bit dated. This did not matter to us but may to some. We had cool weather so it was irrelevant but two of the four bedrooms did not have air conditioning during our stay. This may have been an issue if the weather was warmer at night. The neighborhood is both right in the middle of town with everything in easy walking distance and extremely quiet/peaceful at night. We will likely be back.

This home was perfectly situated in downtown Bar Harbor. It was conveniently located to the fun downtown shops and restaurants but felt farther away, as it is down a quieter side street. The home has an older vibe to it, but I personally liked that charm. We did have an issue with the upstairs bathroom shower not functioning, but the management team/home owner were very responsive and did the best they could to try resolving the issue. I found them to be very responsive and helpful and would enjoy stating here again.

The location is the reason why I chose this property. I originally booked a location on Ledgelawn, but I wanted to be closer to the shoreline. Dorrie’s house is just down the street from all the restaurants and shops. I loved being so close to the shoreline.

Home is a bit tired, but if you are ok with that the location can’t be beat! Within walking distance of everything in Bar Harbor!

I had a wonderful time in Bar Harbor last week with my 3 sisters. This property has 4 bedrooms so we each had our own room! The location could not be better, in the heart of Bar Harbor where you can walk to a bike rental for the Park, to local restaurants, and it's just a short car ride to the Park entrance for a sunset view on Cadillac Mountain. The property also allows pets. Although we didn't bring one, I was amazed to learn that Acadia is one of the few National Parks that allow dogs on hiking trails, so this place is perfect for someone who wants to hike the Park with their dog:) The downstairs area is very comfortable, with a large oval table for eating and playing games, and a bathroom with a shower. The upstairs was really my only issue. I had read that the beds weren't great and this was certainly true. The bathroom is quite small and it was missing a towel rack or hooks to hang any towels. Updating the mattresses and bathroom would go a long way to making this a 5-star experience.
