This was the most amazing house!!! It was absolutely beautiful and had the most stunning sunrises and sunsets. My husband loves fishing and he went out numerous times on the lake fishing. We also had beautiful weather!!! The love story of the parents is sooooo sweet and we felt privileged to be there in amongst their house. I actually cried when I saw that they kept their father’s cap. We did the same thing when my father passed away. About the only thing we would change is the bedding. My husband and one of our friends had back problems and the beds were hard on them, but everything else was perfect!!!! The kitchen had so much more than a usual rental kitchen. I just can’t thank the children enough for letting us stay there and enjoy their family’s cabin!!!

This is a fantastic property for a relaxing get away. Out of the city -but close to anything you wanted to do. The house was equipped with anything we needed to cook or play. The house shows off the history of the property along with their family tree. As a genealogist and history lover it was so much fun to read about it! There was a minor hiccup that happened just before we arrived and they went out of their way to get it corrected quickly for us! The house is warm and inviting, clean and well stocked. We had a great time here and they let us bring our furry son with us as well! He loved exploring and hiking around the yard and woods! It is truly a hidden gem of a place with a wonderful family that takes care of it!

The cabin was beautiful and was better than the pictures. You don't get a feel for how big the lake is or how spacious and nice the cabin is from the photos. It's a bit far from town but absolutely worth it and perfect for a weekend getaway.

The views of the lake were beautiful and the house was very clean. The house was perfect for my family, with enough space for the teenagers to have their own place to hang out. There's plenty of outdoor activities within a short drive.

Our stay was amazing! It was nice and quiet. My family loved fishing on the lake. The weather was beautiful. The WiFi worked well and we were able to work from the cabin without issue. Check in went smoothly and the kitchen had all the things needed for cooking meals. The history decorating the cabin walls was really neat. We would definitely return!

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at the Wilcox home. My two sons and I caught many jumbo perch and northern pike as well. The history of the family is very interesting, my family loved reading the articles and seeing all the pictures. I've stayed in quite a few VRBO's over the years and none as clean as this place. We'll be back!

This was our 2nd stay and we are already booked for next year! Such a beautiful, peaceful place with a gorgeous view. The house is very clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. There are several good places to eat very near by so we didn't do any cooking but the kitchen had all we would have needed if we had wanted to cook. We hated to leave this tranquil spot and are looking forward to returning next year!

We had stayed here in the past and had a great time. Lots of space, plenty of area outside, well-equipped kitchen. Beautiful views of McKenzie Bay and surrounding ponds and woods. Lots of wildlife around (deer, eagles, sandhill cranes, snapping turtles). Great food at the Thunder Bay Inn a mile away. A half-hour drive gets you to all the attractions and amenities in Marquette.

It was tough to get in since I didn’t get the right code. Could have been a mess, but we recovered nicely after a few calls and texts. The home is awesome, very spacious, with direct snowmobile and orv trail access. Right around the corner is a few restaurants and a bar. Great place.

We went up to watch Ferris vs Northern MI football and stayed a few extra days. It was beautiful. Very peaceful but close enough to town. The 3 seasons room was fantastic. Surrounding area is just beautiful. Hiked to waterfalls and saw beautiful light houses!

The place was everything we thought it would be and then some. We loved the decor and the location was amazing. Our dog loved swimming in the lake and watching the birds and squirrels through the window at the bird feeder while we were getting ready for a day of hiking the area trails.

We had the pleasure of dropping off our son in the best way possible thanks to you. This home and location was the perfect end to our summer and beautiful beginning to his start of school. We could ge enough of the views of that home. We felt so comfortable being there. First night we felt like it was our second home. We will definitely keep coming back to this place. Thank you again
