Wooded Retreat Minutes From Fair Hill and University of Delaware

Sharon,Let me begin by saying thank you. I would have written sooner, but during our drive home from Elkton, we both came down with a respiratory virus. We’re still recovering — must be our age!Your home was exactly what we needed. It was clean, comfortable, and truly relaxing — just perfect. I honestly can’t think of a single negative thing to say. Thank you also for returning the items we left behind; we really appreciated your kindness and great communication.Your house is so conveniently close to my family. My cousin Sherry drives by every day, and I loved that she was able to stop in and visit. Being from Florida, we’re not quite used to the colder weather, so next time we visit will likely be in the spring or early fall.Thank you again, Sharon.

Our granddaughter got married at the Tea Barn so it was super convenient for that. It was very peaceful and comfortable.

House is very nice, clean and well stocked. Owner is quick to respond to inquiries. Loved the house.

This house was perfect for our family of five -- very clean, well-equipped and spacious enough to spread out. The kitchen had not one, but two vegetable peelers! I've never seen that. The only thing I missed was a blender to make smoothies in the morning.

This is our fifth stay at Appleton retreat. This is our go to place to come to when we have our annual event in the area. We stayed for two days and enjoyed having the comforts of home. The kitchen had everything we needed, and I even took advantage of grabbing some warm apple cider donuts at Millburn farmers market down the street. The location is very convenient to everything. Communications with the host was super responsive and the house is clean. Look forward to our next stay!

We had such a great time at Sharon's property! A few friends and I stayed for a horse show at Fair Hill, and the proximity and comfort of this house is unbeatable! We're hoping to come back soon :)

Our family stayed here from Friday to Sunday. This is our fourth visit to Appleton retreat. Sharon is super communicative. The house is well-appointed, clean, and close to everywhere we needed to go. We enjoyed checking out one of the covered bridges close by and Apple cider donuts, and Cherry picking at Millburn‘s. Can’t wait to return again!

Just minutes from Newark and UDel; the property is secluded (while being on a busy road, and very close to a great Mexican restaurant. We stayed here as a family to attend our daughter's graduation from UDel and it was perfect to keep us out of the crowds but close to all that we needed to do. The rooms are nicely appointed, everything is updated (some great, exceptionally quiet ceiling fans), and the host was great. Will stay again for future homecomings and events.

Property was clean, well stocked, comfortable beds, plenty of linens and pillows. Had our two grandchildren with us for my wife's family reunion in Elkton. Much better than any hotel. Highly recommend.
