High Point is a light filled 3 bedroom shingle style contemporary on a quiet peninsula in beautiful Camden, Maine with ocean access and a warm, comfy summerhouse vibe. It is very private on 3 acres with a right of way to the shore, yet close to town. Camden is “where the mountains meet the sea”. Mount Battie state park on Penobscot Bay is a mile from the house. Stayed Jul 8, 2023The beautiful home is tucked into woods on the coast with floral gardens and song birds, giving a peaceful retreat from life's stresses. A short walk takes you to a private coastal access point to watch the boats and listen to the waves. The relaxing hot tub prepped us for a good night's sleep before exploring the shops & dining in Camden, Belfast, and Rockport, day trips to Bar Harbor and Acadia national Park, and a lighthouse & puffin tour. Lobster, clam chowder, breakfast at Traci's Diner and the Hoot, and more delicious choices were nearby but the well-stocked kitchen was available and Hannaford's carried anything you would want. The location was perfect and the week passed too quickly to fit it all in. The hosts checked in and made us feel welcome. I guess we may have to return to Maine again to catch the Blues festival in Rockport next July!

Stayed Jul 31, 2021It is a lovely and comfortable home that is very well maintained and spotless. The owners are helpful amd available if needed. The only possible improvement would have been if we could have seen the water thru the trees.

Stayed Jul 17, 2021Wonderful location with private access to beautiful panoramic views of Penobscot Bay. Spacious, comfortable house in a quiet and peaceful wooded area. Lovely and well-maintained gardens. Owners were terrific and helpful. Highly recommend.
