WITH HOUSE IN BEGUR WITH SEA VIEWS AND SWIMMING POOL

We spent over an hour looking for la Caseta Blanca de Begur only to find it is actually no. 11 in an urbanisation of 18 town houses. There is no name on the building anywhere. The swimming pool is across the road where the cars are parked. The house is small with no change of linen. The dishwasher didn't work and was filthy. The owners failed to send proper directions for the property. There is a very small terrace with only 4 chairs. 6 people cannot fit around the table. Very uncomfortable sofa. No curtains/blinds on windows woken by the sun rise each day! Broken chair left on terrace with broken pots filled with debris. No sunbeds or chairs to take to pool which is shared by 30-40 other houses in the area. No rubbish collected, it must be taken to a local point for recycling. No hair dryer in property. No welcome pack or details of how to work the washing machine or dishwasher which was not even connected to the mains tap! No electric kettle! The owners came to see us on our third day. They are very busy with their hotel. They were nice people but very casual about the problems with finding the house. When I pointed out that there was no change of bed linen Elisabet suggested we collect a suitcase from her sister's restaurant in San Tuna a drive down to the beach! There are no mirrors or chairs to sit on in the main bedrooms. Just hooks behind the doors. There are no cupboards or shelves in the bathroom so all toiletries have to be placed around the sink area. The property is actually a town house on 3 levels with neighbors at close quarters on both sides. All living sounds can be heard. There was only one old electric fan for the entire house. The best part about the house is the view which is stunning but the photographs of the property make it look big and comfortable but in reality the house is small and would not have been comfortable for 6 guests. A very expensive property considering a villa with a private pool would have been cheaper. The surrounding area is lovely with great beaches and restaurants but the house itself needs some work done on it. Also a very clear explanation as to where exactly it is located and what the facilities are. We enjoyed our holiday in Begur which is beautiful but we would not stay at this property again. The description on the website needs to be more in depth. Photos of the outside are needed. We wouldnt choose this place again. A great disappointment!

We had a great time in Begur. Very nice house with a wonderful panoramic view. Pool shared by the surrounded houses but not frequented a lot. Next beach is the Sa tuna beach which is 5 min. car drive away.
