Enjoy in-town trailside convenience in the heart of the Methow Valley with all the comforts of home. We are located just minutes from downtown Winthrop, situated in a quiet neighborhood alongside the Susie Stevens Trail. Walk, bike, or ski to town and the variety of shops, restaurants, and amenities Winthrop has to offer. We look forward to helping to make your Methow Valley experience the very best it can be. Welcome to your home in the Methow!

Winthrop Trailside Getaway 1 is a new 2bedroom, 1.5 bath, single story 1,200 square foot home with a full kitchen, spacious living and dining area, and outdoor patio. It is part of a brand new single story duplex, along with Winthrop Trailside Getaway 2. Each unit is completely private with a separate driveway (opposite sides of the Greenwood loop), entry and patio. There are no shared spaces, and none of the living areas in either unit are adjacent to the common wall of the building. So you can enjoy the peace and privacy of your own space. Or if you have a large group, book both units to accommodate up to 10 people. Whether you are here for a weekend or an extended stay, we look forward to helping to make your Methow experience one to remember.

Spend your day exploring the Methow Valley's beautiful landscapes and trails and return to enjoy a comfortable, climate-controlled, fully-equipped home away from home. You are centrally located and a quick 5-minute walk will take you to the Winthrop Library, Winthrop Rink, Barnyard Cinema, Methow Valley Food Shed Farm Stand, IGA supermarket, and locals-favorite, East 20 Pizza. Winthrop's historic downtown is only a 10-minute walk on the Susie Stephens Trail, which takes you past one of the most scenic Winthrop viewpoints on the Spring Creek Suspension Bridge crossing the Methow River.

We offer eco-friendly, fragrance-conscious household products and strive to minimize our environmental impact. A few of our environmental efforts include plant-based bath and cleaning products, all-cotton towels and linens, xeriscape landscaping, and an EV charging outlet. Our energy-efficient heating and cooling system will keep you comfortable on those hot, sunny summer days or snowy winter nights.

A large gear storage room is located at the back of the carport for easy and secure storage of your bikes, skis, or other outdoor recreation equipment. The gear storage room locks with the same key as the home.

The dining room table is set for 4, but accommodates 2 additional place settings using the leaf and additional chairs located in the front entry closet.

We offer full laundry facilities, including eco-friendly, fragrance-free laundry detergent.

An EV charging station (50amp RV outlet) is located in the carport. You will need the appropriate adapter for your specific EV type.

We provide family-friendly amenities, such as games/puzzles (in the living room sideboard and ottoman) and a pack-n-play for infants (in the walk in closet of the second bedroom). Please let us know if there is anything we can provide to make your stay more enjoyable.

This was an amazing place to stay. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked and had all the extras you don’t usually find in a rental, like spices, foil, parchment paper, and zip top bags. The space was very clean and there were plenty of extra towels for both showering and kitchen use. The full size washer and dryer were such a bonus while traveling, and even having stain remover available was a thoughtful touch. The host also provided a welcome binder with helpful information about the property along with great recommendations for things to do and places to eat in the area. We really enjoyed our time in Winthrop and would absolutely stay here again next time we are in town.

This was one of the nicest places that we have stayed in Winthrop. We come here a few times a year for hockey tournaments, and will definitely look to stay here again. Conveniently located close to town. The owner was very responsive to any inquiries we had and gave thorough check in and out instructions. We even saw a deer in the front driveway.

The house felt so warm and welcoming! Loved that it basically had everything that we needed for our hiking getaway. It was a quiet location and was very relaxing to come back too after a long day. So happy with our stay and anytime we come to Winthrop we will definitely want to rebook

We absolutely loved this house! The proximity to a ton of the popular larch hikes in Seattle, as well as downtown Winthrop was perfect. It is also about 40 minutes to Diablo lake! 3.5 from Seattle. The house is in the cutest neighborhood with the friendliest neighbors. It was spotless upon entering, clean up to Monica’s standards (if you get the reference). It also had plenty of supplies and all we needed. The bedrooms were both big with comfortable beds and bedding. Plenty of towels and kitchen utensils. Also the check in and out was flawless and easy. The host was responsive and prompt with messages, even let us check in a little early which was awesome. Never stayed in a better place truly! Can’t wait to tell our friends and make it an annual trip. 10/5 stars!!

We loved everything about David's cabin! From the moment we walked in, we could tell that he was very thoughtful about making his cabin comfortable for guests. The cabin was spotless, very well equipped, and the perfect location for exploring Winthrop and the North Cascades area. It is located a short, easy walk from downtown Winthrop, and it is only a short drive from many of the best hiking trails in the area. The pictures do not do it justice! We will definitely try to stay here again on our next visit to the area.

This was a wonderful place to spend three weeks cross country skiing. It is right next to a trail that connects to virtually all others in the trail system so we could ski out the door when we didn't want to drive to the more distant trailheads. The property was clean with new everything, and the host was exceptionally responsive to queries. We are looking forward to staying here again on future trips to the Methow.

We had a great experience staying at this house in Winthrop. The house is brand new and has everything you need. Walking distance to everything Winthrop has to offer, but still in a very quiet neighborhood. David has been pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Highly recommend it!
