Well appointed room. Charming decor that did not sacrifice comfort. Excellent view, great hospitality. Terrific restaurant on site. Nice getaway off the beaten path.

Many compliments to the team at Lydia Mountain that made our stay so cozy. We liked everything about our short stay, even before we entered our room, because we found the distance from Shenandoah NP (our main point of interest in the area during the weekend) and the check-in/out system extremely convenient. The coziness and the cleanliness of the room were just perfection after a day of hiking in the cold, and walking barefeet on the tall and well-kept carpet was just as cozy. The room was a bit on the hot side, but the heater was easily adjustable, so that wasn't a big deal. We appreciated the architectonic choice of placing the corridor that gives access to the rooms on the parking lot side, so that the view of the mountains can be enjoyed from every room. Although we had dinner in the cute restaurant in the lodge, we found very convenient to have a fridge and a microwave in the room. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels (not many other essentials thought). One minor suggestion would be to add a couple of hangers for the shower towels. Last, but not least, the decorations in the room! Wow! The attention to detail is outstanding without being too much. We enjoyed every single detail and we can't wait to show photos of the room to friends and family. Now we are genuinely curious to stay in a different room to check their differnt decorations. Thank you and keep up the good work at such an affordable price, please!

We just loved the lodge, such a beautiful design with wonderful charming details inside as well, loved the fireplace upper lobby to relax by the fire. The staff was so friendly and helpful getting a fire started for us. The restaurant was great and the staff very friendly as well. The porch hammocks and view was also just great! The room decor and detail was adorable, we just loved the theme. The memory foam mattress was a little firm for our taste but overall really just an amazing time and cozy getaway to unwind and get away. I only didn't do 5 stars for guest service b/c sometimes staff were scarce, but we were there when it was slower/less full. I am sure if we really needed something urgent it would have been easy to find someone. We will surely be back again!

we have been staying here for several years during August for our anniversary. Views are amazing as well as the staff. Have always felt at home and cared for will keep coming back. Look forward each year to visiting. Thank you for taking care of us.

My husband and I stayed at Lydia Mountain Lodge in the Wild & Free Room. Everything was great from the beginning of our stay with Josh, dinner at Bear Appetite, to the scenic view of the mountains from our room. We are certain to return very soon!!!!!

Need to do a lot for adding more utilities.

Need better lighting in the bathroom, very difficult to apply make-up because of low light.
