Wild Cedars - Cana Island - Lake Michigan - Amazing new home

Everything was set up perfectly - we wanted for nothing. Just an outstanding property that is well taken care of by the hosts. Can’t wait to return in July!

We actually haven't been there yet - a major blizzard hit the area the weekend if our stay. I reached out to the owners when I heard reports it was life threatening. The owners were incredibly gracious to rearrange a weekend. They wound up with over 3 ft of snow and an emergency that would've stranded us for days. We look forward to our stay in April!

The host was great to work with and communicated well. The house is well appointed with everything you need and very clean. Easily can accommodate a larger group than the 3 of us with space for everyone. The property is fairly private with a firepit near the lake and chairs out by the lake. We all said we would stay here again. The only knock would be the memory foam mattress's and the pillows are not our preferred choice but not the end of the world. This home is a very nice place to stay.

We loved the house! Such fun art and what beautiful views. We were two couples and it worked out perfectly for us. Owner was easy to communicate with and staying near Cana Island was a plus.

It was wonderful! The house immaculate, well provisioned with beautiful art work, inside and out, but left plenty of room for us to place our things for the time we were there. Good, clear instructions ...but not too many! Our weather was mild so we never built a fire but could imagine how cozy it would be! The porches were great, but our favorite place was the chairs on the beach...we saw moonrise over Cana Island, the fog envelop us and the lighthouse, stars innumerable, the northern lights, and the sun rise out of Lake Michigan...it was magical! I am always so happy when the rental space is just as pictured, but this one exceeded our expectations! Hope we can return!

A true gem tucked in the woods, steps from the lake. Absolutely fabulous, inside and out. Everything you need is right there. Super quiet. Great communication from hosts. Booked again for next year. Highly recommend!

The screen porch and view of Lake Michigan from every window can't be beat. It's so wonderful to have the windows open and hear the waves 24/7. This is the most well-stocked vacation home we've ever stayed in! They've thought of everything with little touches that make your stay comfortable and special. The decor is fun, pretty, and our taste so it was attractive to me immediately. The hosts are very responsive to questions, and answer any questions quickly! This was our second stay there and we'll be back, I'm sure. Great house, which makes your vacation great!

Our fifth time staying here - beautiful home and setting in the woods by the lake. As much fun and relaxing to be on the porch and by the lake at the house as it is to explore Door County. Best of both worlds - highly recommended! Very comfortable, well equipped kitchen, and appreciate the responsive hosting.

We absolutely loved our stay in this secluded and well appointed home on the water. The home was so comfortable and we were mesmerized by the sounds of the waves. A perfect getaway for us to enjoy all of the wonderful hiking and trail running that the Door County Parks have to offer. The owners are very responsive and this home is extremely well appointed. We can’t wait to return!

Property was clean, check-in was easy, kitchen had essentials. Screened in porch and an outdoor firepit were great outdoor options, plus chairs along the water.

This is our 2nd stay here! This home is just so beautiful, impeccibly clean, and stocked with all kinds of things for the kids to do. Also, the owners are quick to respond with questions and provided some great dining recommendations. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back again.

This is an unbelievable property - from the location to the layout of the house to the amenities, everything was exactly as we wanted it. My husband, BIL, SIL and I stayed at the property over a long weekend, and it was genuinely the best time we’ve ever had away. Just watching the sunrise from our own private beach was enough, but there is so much more here than just a view. We cooked some really delicious food in the kitchen, and enjoyed our meals while surrounded by the woods, and listening to Lake Michigan. In addition, it is really close to Bailey’s Harbor and 20 minutes to Sister Bay. I would recommend this property in a second to anyone looking to get away to Door County.

This is our third visit to this property and we are never disappointed. The house is always clean and has all the expected amenities. However, what continues to bring us back is the quiet private location where we can sit on the deck and enjoy the sights and sounds of Lake Michigan.

We were first time visitors to Door County and found this house to be a perfect location. Within a 20 minute drive of Sister Bay, Ephraim, and Egg Harbor, and 10 minutes of Baileys Harbor, the house offers complete serenity but for the lapping of the Lake Michigan waves. The house is steps away from a private, rocky beach, and a short drive from a more sandy, unpopulated public beach with a small parking lot. Cana Island lighthouse is a short walk away, and the lighthouse is visible from the backyard. The house is very well stocked--even including bug spray, which we only needed when hiking trails elsewhere in Door County. The house does not have AC, which we didn't even realize until the last day of our trip, when we got a little warm packing things up for our departure. There is almost always a breeze coming off the lake. No worries here about the pictures not being representative of the house--it's even nicer in person. Baileys Harbor is a charming small town with plenty of eating options. The house wifi is excellent, but once we left the house our Verizon coverage was spotty. Just tell the kids to be brave--the connection is much better as you get closer to town.
