Door County Cottage: Family Game Room, Screen Porch & Relaxing Outdoor Spaces

This house is literally the best rental I have ever stayed at. Super clean, which is top of my list, and well appointed and stocked. They thought of everything. There is a game room for adults and kiddos. Jennifer is so easy to work with and incredibly responsive. You will love your stay here!

What a fantastic property in Door County! The house was immaculate and had everything we needed to make for a great long weekend. The hosts thought of everything and made sure we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. We will definitely be back!!

This house is the nicest house we've stayed at in Door County! It was beautiful and had so many special touches! My kids loved spending time in the game room in the evenings and we enjoyed roasting marshmallows outside. We took the paddleboard down to Kangaroo Lake and had a great time in the water. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. And the location was great, we had easy access to our favorite places in Bailey's Harbor, Sister Bay and even up to Washington Island. Would love to stay here again!

The chicory cottage exceeded our expectations in every way. The cottage was incredibly clean when we arrived and every room is nicely decorated. There are multiple sitting areas to relax and chat with good quality furniture. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were meticulously clean. This property has thought of everything in terms of amenities - there is a fire table, a fire pit, a huge game room space which our group really enjoyed! I cannot recommend this property enough, thank you to the hosts for such a lovely experience!

If you’re looking for the perfect house for adults and kids combined, this is the perfect place. First off it is beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. Just the ultimate cozy stay. The garage that is now a game room was so fun for all of us. The proximity to the lake is amazing. Now we went in the winter so the lake was pretty but we didn’t use it but I imagine in the summer it is a family fun place. I would stay here again in a minute.

This place is better than described in the listing! We were obsessed w how clean and adorable it was. It's about 6 min drive from Bailey's harbor which is nice!

Our family had a wonderful time at the cottage. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Our kids loved the game room and fire pit, and we loved all of the amenities (record player, games, beach towels, etc. The hosts were extremely responsive and thoughtful. We will definitely be back!

Best place we’ve stayed by far. This was a perfect space for a sister’s get together. We actually planned to go out more but found ourselves staying “home” because we loved this place. We especially enjoyed the enticing screened porch that offered a welcoming breeze, as well as the turntable with a large variety of vinyl selections. All was meticulously clean, beautifully organized and tastefully decorated. The comfortable beds and pillows matched any five star resort. The hosts were very welcoming. Exceptional! Cannot rave enough. We would highly recommend this property.

This was our first time staying near Kangaroo Lake and it was a good location for Door County must sees. House was very comfortable, kitchen incredibly well-stocked with equipment and overall we would highly recommend.

The house was better than I expected. It was spotless, had plenty of space inside and out for a family and was in a great location.

The first comment from our teen grandkids was “it smells so good, so clean!” Our stay was magical….our windows looked into the forest…the home was spotless and so very comfortable. We were unable to use the outdoor dining site, fire pit or screened porch due to rain, but they were lovely. No worries..the indoor game room provided rainy day activities.

Unbelievably clean, warm and welcoming!

This was our 2nd stay and my 3 toddlers had been excited for this trip since our last visit. This is the absolute perfect home away from home- Jennifer and Brian put so much love, thought, and intention into every aspect of this gem. Staying here was effortless, helpful (yet hidden and aesthetically pleasing) guides/info made it feel like we were right at home. Both stays, we walked in and felt like it was brand new- EVERYTHING was beyond clean and in pristine condition. Felt like I was staying at a family-friend’s house and truly can’t wait to keep coming back with my growing family. We genuinely found our home away from home in this amazing cottage. Ideal Location: Downtown Baileys- 5 minute drive local farm/grocer - 2 minute drive Easy walk to kangaroo lake- personally, we loved our strolls to Coyote roadhouse for a laidback dinner while playing lawn games/swinging. House amenities: They built an indoor/outdoor living space with much consideration of EVERYONE’s interest. Outdoor shed provides outdoor games/activities. But what if it’s too cold/rains!? Their converted garage was my kids’ absolute favorite! The garage is transformed for ALL ages… for me and my husband to shoot hoops while sipping wine, for my daughter to draw with newfound sparkly pens, and for my sons to play with Dinos, floor bowling set, and ALL the toys. And I mean… I got to introduce my kids to Pac-Man- can’t beat that! This cottage curated a new, & palpable, love for DC in my all 5 of us

We are very happy with our long weekend in Door County. To start, this house was truly the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. Everything felt clean and ready for us when we arrived. The owner sent a message when the house was ready so we could check in a couple hours early. Our family of 5 stayed here and it was honestly perfect for any group! There were so many games and activities for our kids (4, 5, and 8) to play with, and fun for the adults too! The owners thought of everything. We were within about 15 minutes of every activity we wanted to do in Door County. We will definitely be back!

Chicory Cottage was the perfect location for a gathering of three friends! It is a beautifully decorated and appointed home in a lovely wooded (private and quiet) neighborhood. All expectations were exceeded: very well appointed kitchen; multiple shared, open living areas and a perfect screened porch.
